TX, OK, LA Evo Owners are Panzies
This is just one approach to motivate. Other methods are being tried as well. Just seeing what works, becuase so far nothing is working.
And since I've gotten to this method, I'm keeping to it by letting all the blowhards know they can either put up or shutup.
In my neighborhood it's those that keep talking the talk but never can walk the walk that end up getting shown the door, if their lucky and a rope if they don't get out the door quick enough..
We're not talking a lot of money, we're not talking a lot of time either. One weekend - $270. I see people waste more time hanging around in parking lots and waste more money filling up their high performance car as it idles it's fuel away..
And for some still learning, they aren't learning anything good most likely unless their attending a HPDE, and those bad habits just get harder to fix.

A rope eh... you from Cut 'N' Shoot? And 270 is alot for those of us who get checks signed by "G. W." As is a weekend. But when I do get back to TX. I'll gladly see where you're at.
Cause I don't need to talk. Hell. Just owning an Evo is worthy enough to have ALL of us bow.
Not everyone with an Evo is meant to evolve into a racer. Get a grip man. It's a car. A legend of one, but a car. And mine, nor alot of other folks world's revolve around it. You want to folks to learn whats right. How bout posting something useful, like some of those hard earned tricks ya may have picked up on the track. Instead of slamming someone because they don't see it your way.

I'm not slamming anyone and you brought your neighborhood into my thread, I brought mine.
As for "tricks" seat time, seat time, seat time.. There ya go. Go practice.
It's for the blowhards who want to talk about the performance of the car, but then it spends more time collecting saliva outside the local conveneince store than it does being used. I hope no one's life revolves around a car that's for sure, but it's really bad PR and many really start to get a negative impression about the car and the "type of person" that buys one, when they act like children and don't take it where belongs to have safe and fun usage of their car. And hearing about em getting wadded up all too often and seeing their remains going to the scrap yard and people hurt is really lame. Sorry for imposing my beliefes that people need to enjoy their toys in a safe controlled fun learning environment instead of killing themselves or worse others on the strreet, but I'll continue to, Thanks.

Funny, but I don't see or hear that happening out here in Hawaii. Maybe I shouldn't come back to TX?
And as far as impressions, what kind you think you giving? Especially to those of us who own the car too.

I'm looking for a total newbie driving class. I've never been on a road course. If MSR were considered much more "newbie friendly" than TWS (meaning I'd be less likely to total my car), that might constitute a "compelling reason".
MSR is certainly the most newbie friendly track I have ever been to or heard of.. It is a country club, focused entriely on safety and fun techincal driving. TWS is for big horsepower cars who like to go fast, but not necesarily quick. MSR is for those who enjoy driving and being quick. and have to be smooth to be fast. If you can make the July 10-11 event, I'd be willing to offer a couch to crash on even. Better to crash on a lazy boy or the couch than anywhere else I say.. If the weather is cool enough teh hammock or swing out back is usually open as well if camping is more of an inclination.
TWS has plenty of conrete walls to mangle or ball up a car. MSR has concrete walls only aroudn the hot pits, the entire track is wall free and has hundreds of feet in runoff along side the entire track.

I appreciate the couch offer, but (if I go up there) I'm sure I'd be more comfortable getting a hotel room. If I decide to go I'll definitely shoot you a pm so we can hook up at the track.
