ok, gonna drive 4 hours to Bill Penney mitsubishi in Huntsville alabama. I just hope everything goes well.

I'll do the ACT review and take some pictures while they're doing the work and put em up.

I hope it's worth it. The service manager seem to be confident about DSM services.

Ok, I already love this dealership.

It took 3 hours to get here. Guess what I see the first thing in the morning. The service manager and his EVolution 7! It runs 12 seconds. It's nuts. Right behind that the parts guys car, which used to be the service managers car, the fastest Galant VR-4 @ 11.3 second quarter mile still daily driven with full interior!

I got some pictures. I'll post it up.

Now, from what I heard the clutch install takes anywhere between 7 to 10 hours at some other places.

It's only been an hour and they've already have the transmission out! They told me I'll be out by 11am. They started the job around 7:30am. I'm at Scion dealership now using their computers.

I really like alabama, especially Huntsville. People are nice like how southerns are suppose to be, knowledgeble and proper. Not like all those NY and NJ rejects in atlanta... Not anyone is Georgian anymore... that's sad...

Anyway, This place kicks ***!

It was worth the 3 hour drive.

so I got the oil change, radiator fan recall, clutch install, all in 5 hours.

I'm having a bit of problem with my clutch now though, but I don't think it's anything big. My 4th gear keeps on popping out and it's difficult to get into the 1 st gear.

No chatter, no vibration on the paddle, but I think it's just clutch engagement travel is a bit short. I don't think it's anything huge. I'm very pleased with their work so far.

I really like Victor, service manager, he's a real cool guy.

I'll post some more later. The price all together was $600 but I got a deal on the oil change.

THat's clutch install, flywheel regrind, oil change, recall.

Ok, after the clutch install, my 4th gear is popping out. The master cylinder rod for the clutch peddles been adjusted and shifter is smooth like before, but now my 4th gear is popping out.

The dealers are saying it's the syncros, but they can't give me a sure answer. I hate evo's tranny.

I've been reading it could be the tranny mount, shift fork, or syncros... or even shlt just happens once in a while.

I've been fighting with getting my car straight for the longest time now. I've just spend 3 weeks on brakes and tranny problems. I might just get a civic and have a piece of mind.

Knowledge performance did my clutch. It was the first evo clutch they had done. They underquoted me and did it for $650 and said it would be $750 from now on. I was up there the other day and they have done quite a few of them now. Mine has worked great. I dropped mine off at 8am, dont know how long it took them, but i picked it up at 6:30 pm adn they had already had it on the dyno to make sure it holds good etc.. Works great, gears go in easy and now the only thing I am worried about it breaking the tranny launching cuz this thing pulls like a bat out of hell off the line. Made a 40 year old man almost cry when we raced from a dead stop and I hit my revlimiter in 4th gear at around 130 mph and I was 3 car lengths ahead of his 02 z06 vette. I would feel quite dumb too if some 25 year old guy in a 30g car with 224 whp just pulled away from my 60g car that even says I have 405 hp on the side of the car.

Yeh, the clutch engages really strong, immediate and solid. It shifts ok, but my 4th gear is still popping out.

I talked to the mechanics and service managers and they're telling me that it can't be the clutch that's popping the 4 th gear out. It's the syncros or something retainer ring on the syncros... or something else, couldn't get a straight answer out from them.

They did rule out the shift fork and engine mount.

I hate mitsubullshlt.

I've just talked to the Mitsubishi district manager for Atlanta. They gave me the same run around.

I'm going to Bill Penney back again to get my car fixed, the 4th gear popping.

I just hope it's not anything serious.

Clutch is engaging a bit harsh, not too bad tho.

well, they adjusted the shift linkage and everything is fixed. It was the clutch master cylinder that needed to be adjusted as well as the shift linkage.

Everything is fine now. Just little thing that people don't know about that made me go through hell.

There is a girl who actually got it fixed

She said, you have to put your gear in first and adjust the shift rod mount on the transmission.

I'm trying to get some bushing for the shifter to see if that helps any.
