Clutch Shops In Ga

Ok, lets get a list going. I know half of you are about that time where you need to get your clutch installed.

I am too. Maybe if we pick a place and go there exclusively, we could get a deal from the shop.

I have few people in mind to do the job, but I don't know how much would be a faire price for it.

I just talked to a Mitsubishi dealer and he said it takes him 20 hours @ $65, just in labor.

Thats nuts, because I heard it done in 6 hours.

I think I'll be ordering the RPS clutch.,

20 hours!?! Thats a bit excessive...actually thats almost double what the book calls for. It actually calls for 10.5 hours, it actually is a pretty lengthy install. Give us a call, the 4G63 is our specialty, and I can work something out for you if your interested. Infact, if anyone else needs a clutch installed, or any other parts for that matter, I can work out a group rate to save everyone some money. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

ok, just got a quote from my friend for $300. I don't think he knows how to work on DSm's tho, since he worked on European cars, especially BMW's.

Ok, I just talked to Knowledge Performance in Kennesaw. They quoted me for the grinding the flywheel ($50 included in the final price) and clutch install.

$767.25.

They said they only do Evo's and not older DSM's.

Yeh, i have. I don't know what's going on with him. He said he was busy with SEMA and the opening and all.

Besides I don't know how much he'll charge me. Last I heard was $70 an hour for labour.

Ok, I just talked to SpeedSouth.com In Alabama. They've done the clutch work on Evo before and they quoted me:

$516. I think that's a good price.

Sara helped me get some quotes and there is a Mitsubishi Dealership in Albertsville and the mechanic there is willing to do the work for $400 but never done the clutch install before. He did do the Transfer case work tho.

I don't know, I think it'll be worth spending the extra $120 or so on someone who's done this before but if anything goes wrong at the mitsu dealer, he'll have the parts to help me out.

hmmm....

Seems like I'm the only one who's talking about this. I just hope Doug calls me up and tell me what he'll charge for the clutch install. I can't get in contact with him this week...
