You have let this thread play second fiddle to the Vegas boys, unacceptable.
I guess the exodus to the "other" forum was a failure?
Everytime I pop over there, it's deader than the Dodge Aires Wagon forum.

Hmmmm I don't want to get preachy or holier than thouish but...
[Jumps on soapbox]
I think there has been a slight lack of communication here...
I didn't exactly get "an Infection". The doctor came in after running my blood tests several times and told me I had a 30% chance of seeing my 45th birthday and if the chemo didn't work (70% chance) the last 2 or 3 years of my life would be excruciatingly painful. (I'm 43 now)
The Chemo itself was worse as Interferon and Ribavirin have some interesting side effects. During the testing phase in a controlled environment with guards and 24 hour staff watching the patients, 2 out of the 50 test subjects managed to commit suicide due to extreme depression. One was actually a murder/suicide. Doctors were very wary about putting anyone on this medication.
This was about 6+ years ago. (There are different meds available today) The Evo was my survival present to myself. Simple fact is I don't trust anybody and I certainly won't trust any "open wound" in this "tropical environment". Not and face the prospect of another bout of chemo. BTW I never lost my hair though it did thin out a bit.
You will of course do what you want, but in my humble opinion a pretty girl like you does not need any embellisments past a minimum amount of makeup (Sorry, Mom was a district manager for Avon. According to her all women NEED makeup.) It just seems to me like a high risk for some bling. As for women with piercings... they could not turn me on even if they looked like the entire cast of Deal or No Deal rolled up into one woman.
Same thing goes for tattoos. I don't see the need to take that kind of risk. I can certainly admire the artistry in them but there's just too much risk for my tastes.
[Scooter jumps off soapbox and smashes it to bits promising never to touch this subject again.]
