if we really have this i'd wait until our infrastructure is built then pull the plug on the stinky arabs. those guys have no idea how manage finances. they spend tons of cash on stupid palaces, entertainment, cities (dubai) etc... can you imagine what happens to all that when we suddenly pull out lets see how they can maintain all that expensive infrastructure with no money coming in.

Oil at $30 a barrel would be great on the pocket...what does that translate to? $2.00 for 93oct? Which is about $20 to fill up from super "E" ....how nice would life be?

oil is currently at around $60 a barrel. then in it needs to be placed on ships, leased pipelines etc.. to get to the US which I am sure will drive the cost up some more. Having the oil+infrastructure all here in the US will make it VERY cheap. Especially if they start blending ethanol into the fuel.

Florida is trying to muscle its way into the ethanol trade. Either by producing it ourselves or importing from Brazil. I think there will be a ton of advancements in the next year few years when it comes to energy in the US.

"CBS cancels Don Imus' radio show, effective immediately, after uproar over his racist and sexist comments about Rutgers women's basketball team." LMAO

I love it... Why can't they just say the truth. The canceled it because he's old and his ratings suck. Howard Stern worked for years on CBS and they never canceled him.

Wouldn't count on seeing that anytime soon.Oil companies are enjoying record profits and would do anything to block or prolong a change to oil shale.

Depending on what the process entails it would take a while to build the infrastructure here. But after a few years they could probably sell gas cheaper here and still make a higher profit than what they are now making without the negative PR effects and the growing DAILY dissatisfaction of the people on the Iraq war issue. Plus they would be employing more people here thereby reducing unemployment. It's a win-win situation for us if we do switch.

Demand in China is growing and the arabs can always sell elswhere. But China don't play. Al Queda screws with them and China will send 5 million soldiers to wipe out all life in the middle east. They might even go nuclear.
