right and wrong.
OEM filter correct

Try using royal purple oil instead of mobil...much better quality and meets required specs for cars of our caliber...do a search on mobil 1 vs royal purple...

Royal purple is a waste of money to justify the price difference to me.. Mobil 1 works just fine.. Sure Royal Purple is better, but Mobil 1 can handle the same job with no problem.. It's all up to what you personally prefer.. Been using Mobil 1 in all my DSM's and EVO since day one.. I had a 93 GSX with 166K miles on it.. No problems whatsoever.. And she ran low 12's all day long.. Sold it to Garry at Speed Injected years ago, and he broke down the motor to race it.. It looked brand new inside still.. To each his own..

you've basically been fortunate. Mobil is not crap, but Royal is just better, almost as good as Amsoil.

Amsoil > RP > Mobil 1
