I got a cuban flag and not ashame of it, It's where I was born and raised, it's where my family lives, it's my culture. Just because u don't agree w the government/fidel, does not mean I can't be proud of where I come from. I am not a loud or ignorant cuban, when I see that flag I remember my childhood, friends, fam that is still there, my roots, I don't see it and think of the d1ck ruler. I've lived here since I was 10 and I have become very americana as my mom says lol. I don't agree w people that are here and say they hate it, country sucks blabla.

2 those who will say why not the american flag... I see it everyday, I live it everyday, I enjoy the freedom of what this country stands for everyday, I don't need to have it in my car...shoot I got a few shirts with the u.s flag.

Yo Scott, John , Purvy or any one with a lowered Evo. Found TEIN S-Tech springs on eBay for $149. Is that a good price? What do you all have on your ride pods? Picked up a set of JDM MR tail lights. Yeah!!! No more scrached up lights

not the best springs, car looks good w an aggresive drop. Ride quality is so so and ur shocks will be gone within a year or so. I got swift springs, ride quality is good and I don't have to worry about hitting everything out there .

don't do the S-techs! Drop looks pimp, however, your shocks will turn to crap. Get the swifts like Egirlie recommended.

Since no one else can read your mind they have to go by what you "advertise". What you are advertising is that you are Cuban 100%, American 0%. So when I drive down the street and see 5 American Flags and 500 Cuban (or whatever else) flags it makes me sorry I ever joined the Navy and put my life on the line for a bunch of ungrateful Cubans (or whatever else).

When someone holds the door for you, do you say thank you? Because according to your above logic you don't have to say thank you because the other person should already know that you would have thanked him had you not already known that he already knows.

The ONLY Cuban in recent memory that I can respect was an elderly gentleman who was flying BOTH flags on his car. Both off the antenna. An american flag at the top with a slightly smaller Cuban flag beneath it as per Flag Etiquette. http://www.usflag.org/flagetiquette.html

You say you live the American life and enjoy the freedoms provided to you but then you go and display the Cuban Flag. I hate to tell you this but you lost the right to that flag when you left Cuba. That's Castro's flag. He won the right to that flag when Cubans started leaving the country in 1959-1961. If you want the rights to that flag back you need to go fight for it. 1400 Cubans tried that at the Bay of Pigs. They were betrayed by Kennedy AND the rest of the Cuban Community. 500,000 cuban refugees were in Miami at that time and only 1400 thought their country was worth fighting for. My uncle, Eugene Llano, was among those that went and he was ashamed by the poor turnout.

I have the Tein S techs which I got from Rudy for a steal. $149 is an OK price but make sure they are authentic as there are people selling fake Teins. See the Tein website for more info.

My shocks seem to be holding up after three years of AutoX and daily driving. I've got about 25000 miles on this setup. That may not be everyone's experience though. I have been thinking about different spring or just going to coilovers as the ride is a little rough.

s-tech's are also a step back in performance... a friend of mine just sold his evo to a guy who competes in many autocrosses in orlando. The first time out was with the s-techs and he complained alot about hard understeer to sudden oversteer and few other things (sorry i cant find the thread), The be switched back to stock springs for the next competition and said the car was much much better. He was running 2 cars, the evo with stock suspension around 380whp and a sti with full suspension and 360whp. After putting the stock suspension on the evo was running the same times as the sti as oppose to 2-3 seconds behind, which is huge on a minute long course.

I persoanlly run the Tanabe, its a cheaper alternative to the swifts and they feel great. There was definetly an improvment over the stock suspension.

Cheers!

HKS DLI II? You wont notice a real difference with stockish setup. Intake, exhaust, upgrade DV will not be helped by the DLI II...it's good to have for now. He will need to add some bigger and badder mods for it to really shine. eg lots of boost, or bigger turbo, cams, etc... my opinion.

My shocks took a crap around 35k...that's when I really noticed. To think i would be lucky and not have the s-techs putting a raping on the stock shocks

guys i was looking at some gauges, and i fell inlub with this defi one
http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...ducts_id/32389
it looks so badass but is way over priced lol i know at the end of the day gauges are gauges and they are basically the same ****, but i dont want to get one that lights up blue when the whole interior lighting in the evo is amber, i want one that looks nice and makes the car look better not ricer looking lol
