By the time a EGT tells you your to hot it to late. Damage done. I still want one. I have VDO gauges and if there good enough for McLaren and Porsche then there fine for me.

When tuning, you log and adjust fuel or timing...if you're tuning properly egts should either fall or stay consistent. Just like my boost gauge, i don't look, only when I feel like it.
Wideband, EGT, BOost, Oil pressure, Oil Temp are just tuning tools. To stop your motor from going boom is what "Failsafes" are for.

sometimes with a wideband there is a chance of catching a problem.. if the car doesn't pull hard and ya look down and afr's are in the 13's ya know somethings up lol

I forgot to flip a switch for my meth kit once and i caught it fast.. which is why i dont ahve my kit to the edge =-) Its not with it for the extra mph.

When i race its walk them or be walked =-)

wanna race =-p

Ladies love your trigger finger?? Cause that's how I kill them, 12 guage and you barely have to aim.

Hmmmm for you DIYer's it could be a good thing but there's not a lot of space to put more guages so I would probably get tuned on a dyno and use their AFR and dyno to get tuned. And then just go out and drive with a tuned car. Tuning on the fly just seems crazy to me.

1000 HP ready does not mean 1000 HP but knowing you I think you'll be close. I'll run you at the dragon though. That's like a AutoX marathon. I wonder if you can break the Dragon record of 9:48 for the dragon run??? Cause I can't even come close.
