You've asked for it, well here it is.
The Import Showdown is pleased to announce our newest event. Import Showdown is doing a road course! The new Import Showdown Track Day brings all of the character of our Import Showdown drag events to Talladega Gran Prix in Talladega, AL! If you have been looking for a chance to do a road course or just want a great value to do it, this event won't be beat - our event offers lots of track time at half the price of most road course events, including many at this very track. Act fast as slots will go very quickly! This event is based primarily around open track time. No experienced is required to enjoy the open track time, assistance will be available. We will also offer time trials (against the clock) for experienced drivers ONLY. Rules regarding unsafe driving, passing limtations, and safety will be strictly enforced to ensure this is a safe and fun opportunity for any skill set in any kind of vehicle.
Talladega Gran Prix is a 1.33 mile road course just 2 hours west of Atlanta (and similar distance from Macon). The course is technically challenging and will offer a complete day of fun whether on track or watching!
When: Saturday April 15th, 2006
Where: Talladega Gran Prix in Talladega, AL (directions available on website)
What: Road Course at a 1.33 mile track
Who: Any Import or Domestic vehicle is welcome. Sorry, no motorcycles or karts.
Cost: Spectators are $5 (kids under 16 are free), racing is $125 for at least 80 minutes of on track time.
No special license is required, you just need to be 18 or older

3 or 4 times you refer to it as racing or a race. now what is it? a HPDE track day? or a race?

I corrected some of the wording to better identify what we are doing here. This event is primarily open runs, with optional time trials against the clock for experienced drivers. No special license required, however, we have a variety safety rules that will be strictly enforced to ensure safety. This event will be primarily peoples personal cars, and we are taking the steps necessary so that everyone is safe.
