LOL, you mean Matt at *** Imports who sold me the clutch and NEVER calls me back!?!? I've called countless times, rarely getting an answer and when I do get an answer I very rarely actually get to talk to Matt himself. I think I've gotten to talk to him 2 or 3 times personally. I've left several messages with one of the guys there (the same guy always answers) for Matt to call me back and I don't think I've heard back from him with that approach yet.

So basically, after spending $1400 or so on a clutch and $700 to install it, I get to try to figure out what's wrong with it. Exedy told me it needs to be pulled and sent back to them. Which will leave me without the car for who knows how long. That's the only option I really have at this point, but that option did not come from any help at ***. Their contact at Exedy told me to buy a stainless steel line and what-not. Which is not something I will be doing.

Don't get me wrong, Matt and the guy I've talked to at *** were VERY polite and seemed like good people. I just feel like I'm getting completely ignored by them in regards to this situation. Which isn't cool in my book. Atleast the guy I contacted at Exedy gave me a couple of things he "thought" it might be. Either one would lead to the clutch having to be pulled.

im sorry to hear that, when i deal with them, i get responses all the time.... i also send them a lot of business because of it though. have you thought about pulling the exedy, reinstalling the stocker with a new disc ? i know there are some places that sell "upgraded" discs for the stock clutch.... maybe that would help ?

It is quite possible that the clutch was improperly installed. It sucks that you have to dish out even more money just to find out but I suggest taking your car to a different shop and having them pull it. Ask if you can watch them take the clutch apart and if you still have the directions you can see if it was put together properly. Also take pics in case it is jacked up so you have proof that it was installed poorly.

I don't have a problem with *** nor do I blame them for my issue. I just wish I could get more help on the situation.

At this point I would like to get rid of the Exedy either way. The cutch pedal is much heavier than stock (which does't really bother me...but the g/f again complains crazy about this). And it's been nothing but a problem the entire time.

If I can get the clutch as close to grabbing and acting stock as possible right now I will be good. I'm not worried about launching it or anything like that. So if I can rebuild my old clutch or something, that might work better for me.

You'd probly be better off with an Exedy Hyper Single.

definitely shouldnt have gone with a twin plate if you dont launch the car... twin is overkill for that..... any of the single plates are good. exedy is nice because you can rebuild them pretty easy. again, matt is the best for that. you should call them and let them know what your issues are and how they arent helping you out

Knocking the cobwebs off of this thread. Is anyone still here? I was wondering if anyone else wants in on the custom tunes by TTP being offered in Fayetteville later this month. I seriously need a good tune and can't really travel to any of these out of state shops.

Let's go Jacksonville Evo's, let's get them things custom tuned. I have seen quite a few of you in town but you always seem to be going in the opposite direction. Post up if you are in J-ville.

the more the merrier and the cheaper it will cost everyone. Please PM me with any questions or if you are on the fence about the tune. I can answer anything and/or get answers for you.
