Are any of you with Evos in Florida planning to attend the April 12 autocross in Gainesville? Im seriously considering buying an Evo in a few months so it would be great to be able to ride in one, or just be able to see what it can do. The Autocross is at the Gainesville Racecway, about 45 minutes outsied of Gainesville.

 

I heard some one talking about that at one of the local hang-outs (TowerShops). I was thinking about going. I should have my Evo by the weekend, but if not i will take my Type-R

 

What autocross at Gainesville? Only one I see scheduled is on May 4th... is it SCCA or another organization?

 

I belive it is sponsored by the Martin Sports car club, but i could be wrong. They technically call it a "Mini-Prix," because it is not actually an autocross, it is closer to a road course. It is at higher speeds and on a bigger course with few cones, only ones for directing you around the track. If you are interested in going send me an IM or PM and i can give you more information.

 

out of curiosity is that any where near west palm beach, i would love to check it out, ill be there on spring break.

 

Ah, ok, I have run with the MSCC guys at the Palm Bay location in the past. I will check out their site for info.

i dunno if im gonna run but ill be there - i heard its a private race for members only or somethin like that. i live in gainesville for school so its a 5 minute ride to the track

 

i live in orlando, gainsville is a hike from here
