I hear you. As far as the boost goes, I'm obviously not going to push it until I can get the car back to Ohio. Plus, it'll also depend on if I get the bottom end done.

 

How long was the wait? You didn't want the bigger compressor inlet?

 

Well, I still would've been waiting but the fellas up there at BR were looking out for me. I ordered the turbo back in February.

As far as the compressor housing goes, it wasn't offered back then and nobody knows yet if it really makes any real difference. BTW, I forgot to send you that log too. I got sidetracked alot last night and forgot. I'll email it to you tonight.

LOL! Wouldn't have mattered anyway, it was a IX Mivec head. No workee for me. Thanks for looking out for a dude Scott. I've kinda put the head on hold anyway. It'd be more important to make sure the bottom end is built up. Maybe I can get the head next year.

Oh yeah, as far as that boost goes I was at 32-33 lbs on the corn likka on the Green. 28-30 on 93. I'd expect the same with the Red, if I go built bottom end he'd probably take it up somewhere north of 35 I'd imagine.

I ordered my MBC today, and my freakin install kit hasn't even shipped out yet!

What kind of wga did you get? My green doesn't hold much boost at 7k. How much boost does yours hold?


Are you going to do the red install? I looked up a gasket kit for a turbo upgrade and it was like 150 bucks or something from mitsubishiparts.net. You getting new gaskets too?

 

I ordered it last Thursday morning from maperformance.com. It shipped out finally, last night, from FP.

I guess maperformance goes straight through FP, and the billing info had to go to them?

Anywho, scheduled delivery date is this Friday on the install kit.

I ordered my Hallman Pro-RX yesterday morning on ebay, from Import Blowout Sales in PA. Should be getting here either Thursday or Friday, haven't checked my tracking number on that yet.

 

The Red comes with an upgraded IX wga. The Green was shown sometimes to be finnicky with upgraded wga on some people's cars. Mine, uh Scott's, is a stock IX wga. I didn't get any new gaskets for the install. I'll use the one's I have. I'm about to send you the log I made from last summer too.
