i can only push 5 psi? Any thoughts?

 

bring it to the house. we will find out what it is. 1 quick trick. Un plug the vacuum line to the wastegate (plug the line tho) and take it out for a quick spin arround the block. Tell me if you boost then

 

So did that work? Is your car running ok now?

 

i pulled the line to the wastegate and it pushes about 20psi with no boost controll just open wastegate but it falls to 16

 

So what's the diagnosis? Bad wastegate, boost controller?

 

We dont know for sure yet. Between our work times, we havent had the same time off. Hopefully this weekend we will know what is happening.

 

Ok, SC EVOs, I'm curious as to what my car may run in the quarters. I'm thinking about heading to Darlington, Jackson, somewhere in the state for a quarter mile run. Does anyone want to run as well, watch, meet up? I'll post up a thread as well on EVOSC later this evening.

I definitely want to see what mine will do in the 1/4 mile. I'm tied up this weekend and the weekend after that is Labor Day and I already plan to be hiking 50 miles or so in the Smokies. Anything after that is fine with me.

 

I'm definitely down with heading to Darlington to see what my car runs after i get tuned. I was supposed to get a tune from TTP this weekend but we didn't get enough guys so i think its going to fall through. But i think there might be another tuning meet with AMS coming down. I went to Darlington a couple weeks ago and only ran a crappy 13.0 with a horrible tune and i still need to work on my driver mod a bit especially after the new clutch. So hopefully after a tune i'll be able to head up there in the next 2 weeks or so.

 

This weekend is tuner fest. I think you can run the 1/4 there at commerce.

 

Sounds good. Maybe we can plan for something in two weeks or so. That should allow time for tunes and such too.

 

Not sure I'll make that. Besides, I'm not even sure how far away Commerce is from Columbia. Upstate's going to that isn't he?

 

Yeah, I am riding with him. My Evo has been having heart surgery for the last 2 months.
