its a good thing you warned me, you know the jokes would of been coming. Just need a few more things before the toy can work i guess. i guess we'll have to figure out his brakes some other time.

i just don't have time to do the brake lines. if it were just pads and rotors it wouldn't be bad at all. but bleading the lines in sequence like your supposed to and then the rest of it just takes to damn long for me to do right now. starting next week i'll be more available to start working on vehicles. right now i got to get things straightned out with the family and the house.

info as in advice? DO NOT install the gasket that comes with the o2. reuse the stock metal gasket and not the cheap paper gasket that comes with the o2. i made that mistake and had a blown o2 gasket for the longest time and couldn't figure out why my CEL kept coming on until i installed my evo9 turbo. same with the stock mani gasket. always inspect them for damage but usually there good to reuse.

sounds like good advice, definately will check the gasket.

as well as get some good lubricating oil, you are going to need to soak those bolts for awhile. you have an 03 which means you are sitting worse then the rest of us. We broke a bolt off of my ix and chris's and it was only a couple months old. just be easy with the bolts.

lubricating oil? thats a good point and something i forgot but the best thing to use is called "anti-seize". it comes in a grey bottle and works great from preventing bolts breaking. never had one break while using it and i've taken exhaust manis off half a dozen times or so.

also, go to advance auto and buy some "PB" powerful penetrating catalyst. it penetrates really well to break loose the rusted bolts Then before putting them back in use Anti Seize. good luck!

Jason, I was chatting with Justin (the tuner up here) and he usually tunes for 12 flat on pump gas. Keep in mind we have 91 octane up here. He said that's where he's seen the most power with pump gas and the ECU doesn't yank timing or sense knock at that AFR. Since you have the ability to play with it, try leaning it out a bit and do some back to back comparisson runs with 11.0 vs. 12.0 on pump and see what your scan software reads as far as load and knock count.

Cool thing happened to today and it goes to show what a little common courtesy and a compliment can get you. Back on the 10th I was going to Lowes. I parked next to a black G35 on Axis wheels and had the JDM Skyline badges (for those who don't know the G35 is called the Skyline GT350 there). So anyways, the owner was walkin to his car as I was getting out and he said "my son thinks your car is pretty cool". I replied to him with "yea, I love G35's and I dig the JDM badging". He was impressed that I knew what it was (lots of dumb kids around here). So anyways, long story longer I went to Big O Tires to get my rims mounted and guess who's working the front counter! I had been quoted over the phone $12 per wheel to have my tires swapped and balanced. The guy (Joe) recognized me and my car when I walked in and said "since you were cool enough to compliment my car and knew what the badging was I'll give ya half price". So I paid $27.30 out the door for my new wheels mounted.

Ok I know that story isn't anything special, but keep in mind that you never know who you're gonna run into that can help you out in the future!

So after all that, here's a pic of the car with my new rims. Enjoy

not sure i'd tune personally for 12.0. From everything i've read, you can tune to that easily with no knock, but it is on the ragged edge to gain some power. If you have a problem at that a/f, you run the risk of doing some damage. at 11.5 or lower, you have a safety net to play with just in case. I have already started leaning mine out some... after the first change im at 11.2 at the higher rpm's im at 11.0 still earlier... so i just made a few more changes and we shall see what happens tomorrow i guess. have to do some danyel time now

thanks for the info guys , got another question though, putting on the mani and the O2 what kind of power gains should I expect and is it going to throw off my AMS tune.

throw it off ? no... i wouldnt say throw it off. You should get retuned though afterwards. You should see more and feel a bit more torque, maybe a few HP, but mainly torque. Acceleration will feel alot smoother as well.
