Before you install that test pipe get an O2 bung welded in it for tuning purposes

 

scratch that... get 2 welded in it... you are going to need 1 for your stock 02 sensor damn evo viii owners and their ancient test pipes lol.... bring it by and we can mark where you need the 2 bungs welded.... should be pretty simple, i ll send you to a place to do the welding, should be about 20 bucks i bet.

hey Brian I was wondering how much it cost you to get your old dp jet coated and Im not sure if you know or not but what coating is on your AMS mani?

 

the test pipe i ordered has a o2 bung in it already. thats what the guy at ttp engineering said. so do i need another one welded in? parts should be here anytime this week. also expecting a check, i ended up selling off all of my stock so it will be fun to try and spend it all. i have 3 choices.

1. engagement ring for my girlfriend
2. mods for the evo
3. just put a down payment on ring and make monthly payments on the balance. and spend some on mods.

I vote for #3 if you're truly planning on marrying her in the future, if your still unsure go w/ #2...lol. Are you going to be running a wb afr meter in the future and thats why you need a 2nd bung? Does the cb exhaust you have now have a bung in it for the stock rear O2 sensor? if it does than you shouldnt need another bung welded on if the test pipe comes w/ one; but I had my wb bung welded on the dp so there was less of a chance of exhaust leaks before the exhaust actually got to the sensor. Whether or not it really matters/effects the reading that much I dont really know but it made me feel better.
