OK, so I saw the TSB for the 5th gear syncro. Is this all EVO's for 03? What are the symptoms? I don't seem to be having any problems so I am wondering?

I have new front rotors on order right now. I had them turned at 6k and now at 12k they are warped again. Went to Sunset last week and the rep said to replace them under warrenty. I guess this means I don't have an excuse to buy drilled and slotted now.

any other advice? i am gonna try to attempt it during winter break.. if all else fails..
i figure i can give it a shot. if anything i can have it towed to clearwater mitsu which is 5 miles away.

 

ttisco. Yes this 5th gear grind is a common problem with alot of 03 Evo's. Mine started grinding going into 5th gear under mid to hard acceleration. Even with the clutch to the floor it would grind slighty before going in. It sounded bad, but felt worse. it eventually spread to the third gear syncro, so both were replaced under warranty.

jimmy, I can't remember the other guys name but I will look up my invoice because there were two giys that I dealt with.

cool...sat night i have torque video riding along with me and we are going to try to hit up some street races...will be nice if i can get some EVO's to ride along also....a friend in his s200o and another friend in a GTI will be riding along
