I have the vent off, and drive in the rain all the time! No probs at all. I try and clean my engine more often though. Oh by the way, I got my 264/272 HKS Cam combo installed today, waiting to get my Utec to get this properly dialed in, but DAMNNN it really makes a difference. !st and 2nd gear pull like a freakin train!
Good to hear from you V8.. Congrats on the cams! I just got flashed for 264/264s and can't beleive the power they deliver!! The power feels good just with them in and untuned.. but once you get tuned it's crazy how much it helps! Makes the rev limiter pesky cuz the car is still pulling hard when I hit it. 
Are we still meeting up this weekend? I'd like to get a track day together soon too. Maybe after TT comes down tunes some cars we can have some local (freindly) competition down in Bradenton.

Hey jab. Just put on my UR cat delete on tonight as well as fixed soem leaks I had in the up-pipe as well as the MBC- as soon we slapped on the cat-delete and fixed the leaks, MBC was just not screwed tightly, I felt even stobger tonight without the cat. I get my tune tomm at 2pm. I can;t wait. i wanted to use TT this time, just to trey something different and plus I want a dynosheet as well.
I know i got to this thread just a tad bit late guys but im from the Tampa Bay area too. I havent seen many Lancers driving around but i have seen a couple. My name is Miguel and i have a midnight blue lancer with an evo 7 wing, 17" gunmetal wheels machine lip, black tinted windows, eye lids, and lowered, short ram intake, cat back exhaust 2.25" tubing done at XAT, short shifter, cross drilled slotted rotors. It has Jue Puya Racing on the front windshield. I didnt read the entire thread because damn its pretty long but maybe we can setup a meeting or a Lancer club or something. Let me know on anything.

well my schedule kind of sucks so it will have to be during the weekend or after 6 p.m. monday-friday. We can meet up in a parking lot somewhere like the target parking lot everyone talks about or anywhere really. Just let me know. Anybody else out there. We need everyones input so we can all gather.
What up PR Lancer, your car sounds nice. Got any pics. Also I heard there is a weekly show at the Super Target in Wesley CHapel/New Tampa off County Line and Bruce B. Downs every Wednesday night at 8pm. Every week more and more cars are coming out. A good mix I heard and some VERY nice rides. I might go this week. Any of you ever been there on Wednesdays?
I have pics but they are on a disc somewhere. I have been doing some moving so i am gonna have to find them. You have an Evo VIII i see. Maybe its just me but i dont see too many Evos in Tampa, have you done the 1/4 yet? If so, whats your time? Anything done to it?

There are quite a few of us (Evos) around now. There wasn't so many a over a year ago when I first got mine but I know there are probably 20-25 or so around the Tampabay area if not more. I have probably met about 10-12 of the local Evo guys. There are several on this post from time to time. Siantjab,ttisco,Slvrnblk,vtech8tr(lives in my subdivision), Tampaturbo,veletnguyen, NovaEvo... just to name a few oh-hand.
Lots of Lancer guys too. Carlos(yellowlanceroz) has a nice one.
My mods are below. I have never been to the track to break her in. I really want to get some tires for my stock wheels and slap those on before I got out there though. Turbotrix just came and reflased my ECU and they said I was putting down a good 350 whp. So I should be putting in 12.3-12.4 1/4 times I suspect... I hope!

Welcome PRLANCER - always good to see new members. V8Killer we have to get together, maybe I can see what is going on this weekend and take a ride up to that get together. Have to chack with the old lady. Ripped the CAT off the EVO 2 weeks ago, sounds pretty sick now, no muffler and no cat. Still pretty quiet unless your on it. You have dons a ton of work to your car, I would really like to see what times you post. We need to get out to a test and tune. I really want to see how i do now, I'm pretty sure I'm making about 340, need the flash for the cat delete and a fule pump. Wife wants the house done before I do anything alce to the car, so Going to lay off for a few months.
