whats up fellas.... have you guys figured out the computer issues ? If not, i may have something else for you to try, but if you dont have a lot of computer experience, i'd rather do it for you instead of you messing the entire system up. Make sure you bring it down whenever it is you come back here Bob.

Welcome to the boards german, and congrats on the purchase SRT

Nice avatar update! I will definitely bring it. Like my other posts say, I think the cable is jacked up. I don't know how it can work 2 hours before, then not, but that's what tactrix support is telling me. I'm sorry, but I've never seen a cable just "go bad". Most likely will be sunday because of the weather and crap.

I don't foresee it being the cable just going bad since a bunch of people are having the same issue after updating to a newer version of EcuFlash

I know, I agree. Thing is, I have downgraded to 1.29, no luck. I even switched over to my XP partition on my vista laptop. It's got 1.29 and I rarely ever use it. I was expecting 100% for sure it would work because I haven't changed a thing on it, and sure enough, same error message. It's got to be something that downloads with 1.42 from the openecu website causing all of our problems.

That's what I've been looking for because 1.34 worked fine, I got 1.42 and it didn't work so I put 1.34 and some older versions back on my computer and they didn't work either.

Yup, we all did the same things..with no luck. I think it's a bug that is in the download, or conflicting with existing drivers. I'm telling you tho, I went on a uninstall/delete frenzy trying to fix this. I deleted absolutely everything I could find ECUflash related and still no luck. Hopefully ric has a solution. Tactrix is slow as snails to email you back.

when you uninstall the older version, you need to go into the registry and completely remove the open port portion. When you uninstall, that still stays there. It will retain all of the settings and everything else installed with the latest version. But also, i am using a 1.3 cable and i am having no issues as of yet.

Cool...well I will definitely let you delete some registry files, unless it can easily be done with some simple directions. I'm willing to try it. I'll most likely be headed your way tomorrow when this crappy weather gets out of here.
