Do you guys plan on being anywhere near Cleveland on Friday night? If so, check post #11. Maybe I can get a JESTR Flash for gas economy on the truck that will haul the girls up there.

And yes Robin, nothing's changed since I first told you our itinerary of passing through Columbia. If you guys aren't available Wednesday night, then we'll be there Thursday morning for breakfast before we continue the trek to Ohio.

Good stuff, We haven't decided if we were going to trailer the cars or not but, with the price of Diesel right now we'll probably just drive them. Either way I'm sure there IS going to be alot of fun on this trip!

There's been a lot of skepticism on gas prices as we're all feeling it in our daily drivers. But seriously does anyone see it ever going down? I don't think I've ever seen gas decrease ever, but for only a few pennies. I've flown to the Shootout enough times to know that's probably the cheaper route, and I've always wanted to do the drive to the Mecca of all DSM/EVO's. If anyone knows that gas is going to be lower than $4.00/gallon in the future then by all means let me know and I'll wait for that year to come.

At this point, I doubt that's going to happen...ever, so this is most likely going to be the first and last opportunity I will make the drive up there from Florida and I'm not leaving both girls behind. Back in 1998, I was going to drive up there with a bunch of DSMr's and we thought gas was outrageous at $1.39 for Premium. There are a ton of people looking forward to seeing both of them together and are making the trip up there just to see them. Phew! What have I done?

Personally... No I don't think that it will. I heard it will hit 6 bucks a gallon by the end of summer. We are already at $4.05 for 93 here, It will more than likely increase along with everything else, the Gov. will raise the min. wage pay rate to ease the rising cost of the economy just like that always do. We will continue to pay the price and the pump and cry about it and I think thats that in a nut shell.

Sorry for the off topic I guess maybe?

That's sad, but I am guessing around $300.... The gas is prob going to cost more than the whole trip... LOL

Back to the topic at hand... Who all is planning on leaving on Friday? And what time do yall want to meet and where? I think some people from a couple of other boards I am on are going to meet up with us also.

Wow, Robin/Nick, I don't get on the boards for a few days and you guys are going/not going about 2 times!

Well since there's a big concern on gas prices let me put my information in from the previous two times we drove up that way. It's 900 miles roundtrip from Columbia. We filled up 3 times (from a quarter tank) getting to Norwalk. As long as you're not doing a bunch of highway pulls, racing, etc., the stops shouldn't be that many. We would leave about 4 am, eat breakfast at the WVA/OH border at 9 am. Been like that past two years.

It's straight up I-77, so it'll have to be planned out and I don't know where along that route we should meet those people. Charlotte's a big enough spot, but I don't know...
