Some of you may remember the Southeast Regional DSM/EVO Meets we hosted here a few years ago. Well, I'm an officer of the Jacksonville Junior Chamber of Commerce, and Wheelchairs 4 Kids have asked us to do a fundraiser for a young girl currently at the Nemour's Children's Hospital.
With my background I am using my resources to do a simple Show and Shine to help generate enough money to help fund her wheelchair, as well as help others in the Wheelchiars 4 Kids Program. 100% of all money donated with registration will go directly to Selina and the rest of the children in the local community. Hope to see a good showing of EVO's in the area come out to support.

I was very appreciative for the few from here that came out to support at the event on Sunday. I know most of you would have rather curled right back into bed when you saw the rain all morning. Hell, I was drained from helping all day with Special Olympics the day before(the Jaycees made the news there too). Your great hearts were so appreciative that Madeline from Wheelchairs 4 Kids was overwhelmed with gratitude and support and nervous to talk in the end. Here's some feedback from News 4 Jax...

Sunday night I was also on News 4 Jax, and they cut out a lot of what I said, unfortunately including me giving props to all the crews that came out. I wanted to at least give you guys some exposure for coming out to support. On behalf of the Jacksonville Jaycees and myself personally, would like to thank you guys for coming out to support Selina and Wheelchairs 4 Kids. We raised over $1800 in less than 3 hours with the help of all the car, truck, and motorcycle enthusiasts that braved the rain. Not only will it help Selina currently getting treatment at Nemour's, but will be enough to provide two more wheelchairs in the Wheelchairs 4 Kids program. The rain literally stopped in the exact duration of the show from 11am to 3pm.

It's very hard to convince the 4G63 guys and gals to come out locally. I don't know why it's so hard when it takes one call and three VW/Audi clubs come out to support with only a week's notice(a crew even coming down from South Carolina).
After I did the last of three Meets in 2010, I stopped doing them on a high note, and people talked and wished I did another one, or more.

So I do a charity event this past Sunday and you know how many
came out from here? TWO.
