So here's the first batch of photos from the dragon trip:

First off the day started with the other Jason losing a bolt on the joint between his downpipe and test pipe. We stopped off at Lowe's to do a quick fix.

We met the real life Joe Dirt in the lumber/contractors area of Lowe's. He was super friendly and loved our "race cars" lol. He made the stop much more entertaining.

Cabin FTW, Roadside fixes FTL. Did you guys bring full Evo tools? (10-19mm, jack) Good thing it was only a downpipe bolt!

 

Yeah - I just didn't have any cell phone coverage. Never received the phonemail until I was heading home and finally caught a tower.

The R32 guys were REALLY impressed with the Evo X. They talked about your cars a lot.

 

I had my jack, Dan had gloves, and Lowes had cheap cresent wrenches bolts, nuts, and locking washers. With our powers combined we got the issue fixed and it held together all weekend. Cabin was def FTW. 70 bucks for two nights per person for that place was cheap. And that was with 7 out of 12 people in the place.

Jim it would have been fun to be able to ride with you. Next time we'll pre-arrange a meeting place/time or have you come over for breakfast or something.

Pics look great so far! Cabin looks awesome! I am jealous, sucks we didn't all get to go at the same time...I may not get to go at all this weekend because both of the guys I got the cabin with, their cars are down now...boooooooo....

 

that does suck. Next year if we go we should plan on picking a less crowded weekend and set up a note about it in advance so we can all get our rooms sorted out.

that would be mine . Loved having the dog on the trip though. She loved the cabin and tolerated the dragon lol. Vaccuum should get rid of the fuzz...

lol thats the other Jason in the Raleigh area. With the cap on he def does have a resemblence. That Lowe's guy def made the trip going out. On the way back it was a douche who told us we weren't allowed to park in his motel parking lot (which was right next to Zaxby's and had tons of empty spots)

 

Oh man. The motel guy still cracks me up. Shady, cracked out motel/possible halfway house and yet when we pull up, there goes the neighborhood! hahah

D, I need to find out more about your old Evo's and the mods they had. I'm trying to get to ~330whp with my white car without hosing the mileage. It already has an intake and some other stuff, but I'm trying to get a liiiiiittle bit more out of it.

No problem. The good news is the new one is a IX. The MIVEC will help you out quite a bit. My IX made similar power with much less mods. I'll shoot you a PM.
