Can't you also just get the JDM crash beam? I'm nixing it partly because of the reinforcement, but there are other reasons as well like the exhaust and personal preference on WW.

^ i dont think the jdm evos had crash beams (hence they weigh lower!). those were added to the USDM's due to our higher standard front/rear crash test rattings.

I dunno if there is a jdm crash beam or not, I just read this:
EDIT: Disregard all that. It was front, my mistake.

Maybe it's just too costly or pita to import so no one runs them or they run the aftermarket demonwerkz or afterhours bar. At least one of those is like $250 iirc so I'm sure it would have to be cheaper to modify the USDM bar.

Damn, Jason, that sucks man. I can't believe lightning struck twice, especially that fast.

You need to start going into work at 6AM like me...nobody on the roads.

i got mine done at Northridge Auto Spa.

$250, for 4 doors and rear, and I'm kind of like, meh. Not thrilled with the way the drivers window was cut at the top rear. Plus they sold me on their mid-grade tint, then were out of it, then sold me something else, it was kind of a pain and made me wary of the whole process.

I hear that Sound and Security place on Glenwood does good work, but $250 for 4 doors and back window seem to the the norm. Not sure what they would charge to do rears only.

knowing my luck i'd still find someone that values their cellphone over the safety of themselves and others. O well I'm sure the car will be back up and running good as new...it just is a matter of time and inconvenience.

i called somewhere in danville and they are going to do it with the same tint formula 1 was gona use for $160 so ill take that. i also am a little upset with formula 1 because i found out they gave me the cheapest tint they had last time and i did not ask for cheap *** tint..

I've got it back at mini city autobody off capital. They are good people to work with and they do good work. Only problem I had last time was the Awd pump went out within a month of getting the car back but that turned out to be mitsu's fault.

Jay, your MSPAINT skills know no bounds, my friend. NONE!

Jason, I'd be curious if this place you had a good experience with does custom stuff or just OEM repairs. Would you mind a referral? Jay made a couple of recommendations before, and I'm planning on checking them out, but want a couple of second opinions as well. Sucks about the car, but it would have happened whether you were driving an Evo or a Geo Storm. :\

I'm not sure if they do custom work. I do know they can lay down a good paint job and blend pretty well. Last time they did an awesome job. i couldn't even tell the car had been in a wreck.

i hear ya about it doesn't matter what car i was driving it would have happened and that makes me glad i was in the evo and not on my bike. Could have been a lot worse.
