car looks awesome nick. The only alignment issue that I could see that would bug the hell out of me was the trunk the front fender didn't look too bad. Definitely looks badass. I bet the cf isn't helping the stock wheel gap :-). I'd definitely reccomend getting coilovers when you do get around to your suspension so you can drop it enough to compensate for the loss of fat...

Drove it on the freeway at speed for the first time this morning. Let me put it this way. I'm not completely comfortable without hood pins. I know the latch has got it locked, but you could definitely see it moving around a bit with the wind getting under it.

Also, and it's probably from the weight loss, but it felt as if I was being lifted up. Weird sensation...hard to describe... kinda like a parachute was on the front of the car...

I will be very VERY shocked if I haven't gotten the car under 3000 lbs. It feels completely different now.

yeah lowering the car or adding a splitter/lip combo will help with the floaty front end. Just need a bit more downforce is all.

The list just grows and grows.

The more you do, the more you have to do.

wheels
tires
lowering
splitter/lip, or maybe whole new front bumper
hood pins
wing (debating)

On my '87 GSX I went with a VIS CF hood and found that at speed air was lifting it. Instead of hood pins I put a door gasket material under the leading edge so that air couldn't get under at the hood gap and that solved the problem. I did many track days at VIR with it with no problem and speeds were well over 125 mph. In my case I didn't want the hood pins to be out in the open and the flush style weren't available then.

Jim

P.S. - let us know what the weight is!

^^^Jim, wish that said, would you have done the flush hood pins if they were available?
