A few pictures from the Gill57 New Year's Day Cruise-in. There were somewhere in the range of 200 plus cars there. It was a great day and great turn out.

Thanks for posting pics up. We had great weather today which resulted in a great turnout. I think we were the only imports there haha

Wish I could've made it. Weather was beautiful and the last time I went the musclecars and rat rods were pretty rad.

Yeah, it was one of the largest turnouts that I've been to. The Grill57 lot was full, the lot next to them was full and cars started parking over in the K-mart parking lot.
At least 200 to 300 cars there.

It is an open event for all cars. It would be nice to see more imports in the future. Perhaps in 2012 we see if we can get some import owners participating.

Just an FYI.... Cars & Coffee should be this Saturday at Brier Creek in Raleigh. Looks like it is going to be another 60 degree day, which means lots of cars.

I'm gonna miss it. My flight leaves Atlanta at 9:55. I may be at my hotel by 11 or 12. I'm sure people will have cleared out by then.

On a side note. Anyone have any advice for me bring my car from out of state to get clearance to get plated in NC. I have a Ti Test pipe that looks like a Cat. ECU has no SES/CEL's.

Any other gotcha's? And do you have any place thats modified car friendly. I don't know why but smogging my car always makes me nervous even though I know it will pass (Esp. if they don;t look for/question the cat).

Do they even look for the cat in NC? They do in GA.

they do not smog here... sometimes techs look for the cat sometimes they dont.
Most of the time they dont because they are too lazy to actually pick the car up and look and most dont care. DMV has gotten alot more strict now on inspection stations but I had a license for around 5 years and looked MAYBE 4-5 times to see if a car had a cat. It all depends on where you go to get it done. I take all mine to either friends or small lube stations that only do oil changes and inspections... they really dont care.

Just go to a busy lube place, they don't check for anything. They just plug in the obd port honk the horn and check the lights lol

If anyone wants to shine up before cars and coffee, Im up cleaning her up a bit before heading over. Got plenty of spray stuff. I'm literally across the street in The Preserve, building 10-300.
