Saw a red IX at Only Burger in Durham tonight anyone else seen him around.

 

It'll be interesting to see if the property owner allows it to continue to be held at that location. The show has been moved from several locations in the Triangle because of people being stupid. That location is really perfect for a C&C so I hope they don't get it shut down after a whopping 2 months.

ya we saw some mid to high 30's last week for a couple of days which was nice. But prior to that we hit -32f for a couple of days, and that was freakishly cold.
I won't even ask for 70, so I would be very happy with 40

 

He may have been the one that wrecked, but there were a lot of people leaving that parking lot way too aggressively. Stupid people just seem determined to get every meet shut down.

 

No thank you. When it was 60's/70's here I had the thought that if this is winter every day in Florida, that's pretty compelling. I hate the cold.

 

I think it stems from not being organized. It's more or less just, hey here's the meet show up and don't wreck on the way out. MB of Durham may have sponsored but all I saw was 2 cars and no sales staff. I know it costs money for organization but if we get some good sponsors there may not be as much caos.

 

When I was in high school Hillsborough had an amazing car show every year. It was held at the old NASCAR speedway just outside of downtown. They had shuttles to bring people in, and hundreds of cars. Thousands of people would come through, race car drivers showed up, and had several food vendors.It was mostly sponsored by Orange County historical society, and the Bull City car club. Sadly the shows ended when a few businesses moved in and needed the space.

 

At the old spot in Morrisville they had local PD there. They'll have to have local PD at this one if they don't want people acting foolish.

 

Just saw as of yesterday that the C&C will still be at the shiloh glenn walmart, but will have 2 police officers conducting traffic from now on. They are also doing donations to help cover the cost of having the 2 officers there. As of right now, the next C&C is going to be on March 2nd, and I'll probably be there

 

 

I agree there Im goning to be at as many as I can. I dont see that many people with Evos and it would be good to try and get more of us attending.

 

I'm always down for a meetup, as long as I'm not working that day. I also wanted to let you guys know that I changed out the OEM exhaust because not only was I getting the P0420 code, but the OEM exhaust was so quiet. I figured the cost of the OEM cat was about 700$, but I could get a full TBE exhaust for about the same price from Buschur. I'm really happy with how it came out and the sound. I was also trying to get my AFR gauge installed at the same time, but due to time constraints, I wasn't able to get the AFR gauge installed into the dash. I'm slowly getting this car in order. Now all I have left is to change out the intercooler and piping, throttle body to fix the boost leak, change out the clutch/TOB, find out what is causing a thumping noise when I turn right + accelerate (I believe its the axles, but I've heard so many conflicting things) and to get it tuned. I'm hoping i'll be able to get most of that fixed during this year.
