It was another 3 evo day at the AutoX. However I think we actually may have out numbered the Subarus this time. I think we may have had quicker times too. Earvin was fast, but every time he ran I heard em say plus 3 or worse. How did you do for your times Sara? I couldnt hear alot of the times out at my station. C?...where were you?!

Oh yeah...and it was cold as ***** out there....really cold frozen ones!

 

sunday's autox was ummm FREEZING!!!!! but we still had a good time. sorry demon (so bad at names) that i didn't get to hang out very much. i had a TON of novice to work with and then the Z club in the second run group. hope your friend enjoyed the ride and hopefully you guys can run yourself soon! Q it was great seeing you again too. thanks so much for coming out and taking pictures. can't wait to see them.



we only had three Evos running this time, but we still finished strong against the subys i think. i ended up with a 62.xxx which was good for first in SM yay. like i said it was super super cold. my friends STi was reading 44 degrees before we got started and that was not including the very strong winds that never stopped all day. the course was tight and technical this time. there were a few places to floor it but at the end you had a super tight turn to contend with. of course i plowed through a few of these early in my runs. the brakes were good for the stop but the street tires said other wise. LOL



over all it was a really good event. next one is April 26th. hoping the sun will be shinning on this one!!!

 

its ok sara(its daniel btw), and my buddy peter really enjoyed the ride you gave him.. i got to ride with a couple of the subbies, was cool. tried to observe entry/exits on a few of the corners of the more experienced drivers while spectating, so hopefully i learned something. i have a big list of things i need to fix/finish on my car. so hopefully my next 8 free days between now and the next event ill be able to finish so i can compete against you in SM. your gunna have to ride with me to give me pointers.. im just not use to cones, if it was rock walls, concrete barrier, or even trees and im sure ill be the quickest!

Already have April 26th cleared on my calender.


SATURDAY (this saturday) there will be a 'meet' at either the summit or patton creek movie threaters to see the new fast-n-furious movie.. trying to organize a small meet for around 5:30 to show off and organize before a 7ocloack movie. bunch of my buddies wanted to meet up before we go to the races, so everyone is invited.
if anyone is interested in meeting up.. let me know, and also let all your friends know, hopefully we can get a big showing all together.

Sorry guys, I had something I had to do this past Sunday. also need a few things done on my car..need tires, new pads, etc etc. so I might not run the next event either depending on how thinsg goes. BUT! I'll be there to help Sara with the novice regardless. I'm glad everybody ha d agreat time and hate that I missed it.

alright. ya as of right now.. my plan is meeting up at Patton Creek (rave movie threater) at 5:30 and seeing there 6:30 showing..

i would suggest purchasing tickets in advanced, eather at the threater or online. just incase its sold out..(friday it will be sold out, not sure about saturday)

Not really sure on how many cars will be there, its mostly my friends and people i know, and hopefully they all can bring there friends. - ill be purchasing my ticket tomorrow when i drive by.

Parking is always a pain, so showing at 5:30 or earlier to save some parking spots is wisely suggested.

 

Hmm...I was already planning to be in Bham Saturday to see this movie with my friend. I spose we could possibly plan to come to this theatre at this time. I guess you guys could put up with another evo and a mazdaspeed 3. We shall see.

 

I'm thinking I might rent a car to go see F&F, ha ha. I remember when 2F2F came out we (Murphy Mitsubishi) partnered with Speedsouth to bring a new Evo out to Summit and Wynnsong among some cars they provided. Was quite a "show". Its really fun when the reds come by talking about no replacement for displacement, and such.

Anyway. Hopefully I'll be able to see it this weekend, and not get a ticket, egged, keyed, busted window, etc...

well i dont remember any of that happening. but Rave at Patton creak has some strict rules. and always plenty of police at the threater (it is hoover) i dont think ive ever seen a friday or saturday night without 4-6 cop cars(tahoes) sitting there.
thats one reason why i desided patton creek would be the best place.

ill be going straight to the threater from work, so i should be there between 5 and 530. and ill be picking my ticket up tomorrow. i would suggest getting your own ticket over movietickets.com if you dont live in the area, rave is always packed.

 

someone should post it up on ARS(since im not a member there) and see if anyone else might want to join us.
should have atleast 10-15 cars showing up just off of people i know.
Q u need to spread the word with all the southside of birmingham people that you know, i forgot to tell todd and anythony and tommy when i was over there today.

If the weather is bad, ill be going bowling after, but if its decent ill be doing the normal saturday night stuff, everyone is invited to do the same.
