ALABAMA.. who is all here?
As nice and cool as Barber is, its a horrible venue to go to spectate. You cant see very much of the track depending on where you sit, and unless things have changed, you cant hear the announcer. Plus...like I know who is driving what car anyways. The person leading the race is no different from the person in last place from my view point. The event or two that I went to was really boring.

I think all road race tracks suck to spectate. I'm sure someone will come up with something to disagree, but I really don't see how you see more then one corner at any given time. We watched the race from the grandstands over the main straight (at Road Atlanta) and then at the bottom of a hill in front of a chicane and hairpin. But they did have big projection screens set up. You still sit there watching empty pavement for like 2-3 minutes, then VROOOM VROOM, then nothing for 2-3 minutes, and so on for an hour.
The hard core people brought TV's. IT wasn't that big deal to me, the sounds of hearing them coming were cool and I just looked at bewbs in the crowd the rest of the time.

That was me. My SO and I stopped at Sonic and had some ice cream. Ran into Alan whom I sold a yellow Evo a while back. Was going to cruise and go to the races, but something came up and we went home.
