nay i don't think so. it's so aggresive in the front that if it's wingless it's just kind of blah in the back. some can rock it like Walker and his white Evo, me i love the wing!

Sara, I cant wait to see the wing. How did he do it? Mine really looks like crap lately. Did he do it black or do it clear? Im interested to see it. Maybe he can help me with mine. Im ready to get it looking better.

he sanded it down real good then recleared it. i was amazed at how good the carbon fiber still looks! i thought for sure it was ruined but it looks just like new!!! i'm sure he can give you some tips on yours. of course mine was down to almost no clear coat so i think that helped speed things up a bit. we should've done before and after pictures.

Well, I sanded and sanded on mine, and it looks really spotty. Maybe thats normal I dont know. Now that I have just left it for a lil while, it looks like it is pealing some more. So maybe if I sand it some more then clear it, it will come out decent. Where did he get the clear that he used?

lol, no secrets here..I've used a lower grid sandpaper to get most of the old clear coat out and then use the higer grid to kindda smooth it out a bit. Then wash the wing real good with dish washing soap, let it dry before re-clear.
Then...( drum roll please!!!!!) i use dupli color acrelic ( or however u spell it) rattle can special. 3 light coats, wait 10 mins between coats, and 1 heavy coat to give it the shine.
now it's no body shop quality but for under $10 and few hours of snading time..Its not bad and well worth it. C
PS: I lost ur number...sent me a txt or something. C

ok...ok...my only fear in using duplicolor is that I'll have to redo it in 6 months. But I really dont wanna send off for a $20 can of the expensive stuff. Maybe im just cheap...but im also broke. I want you to look at mine tomorrow though and you can tell me if you think im about there on sanding, or if i have a long way to go. I have sanded a ton...but I may just not be even close. Although some spots it looks like I have gone TOO far.

you can tell if there is still any clear on it, it'll be yellowish in color. I had to use 80 grit to get all the clear off, but I haven't re-cleared it yet. when you get down the the carbon, you'll get black dust. don't be afraid to use some elbow grease, you're not going to hurt the CF.
