Actually, that's all it takes ... my car is intake, LICP, FMIC, exhaust mani, O2 housing, TBE fuel pump, injectors and tuning. So, intake, exhaust and fuel. It was 11.9 capable before the fuel change.

FWIW, Cesar ran a 11.8 w/o E85. He was on around 96 octane fuel, but stock injectors/turbo/cams/etc. That's not even a ported 10.5 ... all stock.

And I say bring it ... Evo's might be best from a dig, but they can roll too. You've got other things working against you, even if you want to run from 70+ like your friend to get rid of traction issues.

matt, your way off base. i said its not just an intake and exhaust.. aka.. filter, and cat back, and retuned for those parts.

i do believe your running alot more boost then stock, and you have alot more then just an intake and exhaust(intake, LICP, FMIC, exhaust mani, O2 housing, TBE fuel pump, injectors) <-- to be exact, and your no longer on 93 either. once you change all those main feeatures of the the car, your not a 'lightly' modded evo.. if u were still on stock boost and 93, i might agree with you.

thats not what i call a 'lightly' modded car.. thats a heavely modded stock motor stock turbo car.

and your an idiot talking about hank racing a MOTORCYCLE from a 70 kick when (bike rider) requested faster and agreed to the 70mph speed vs a 4300lbs GTI and they took it up to 160+ mph.. u go race hank from a dig.. o wait.. whats your excuse again? bad clutch.. get it fixxed or dont talk.
dont say bring it when you have backed down in the past

Motors coming out pretty soon on my evo, when it goes back in I'd be very happy to run from a roll.

ask matt, my cars weak from a 60 punch

It is built, but I'm in need of a ring job, and a clutch, so I'm going ahead and taking some precautionary measures while I have it out and check the bearing clearances, gaskets that I can't normally see, etc...

it's not my daily, so I can afford to have it down for a bit.

we set one up that had completely stock internals and it went 11.9. It's still running around. Stock head, a mild cam, oem turbo manifold.

Yes, I'm running 28 psi. But, you can call it modded how ever you would like ... light, heavy, whatever. It's got basic bolt ons ... not even cams.

I heard that Hank requested the 70 kick. 70 is a horrible speed for an R6 ... right between 1st and 2nd. And that GTI doesn't weight 4300lb ... it weighs ~3350 stock.

And I have never backed down from racing Hank or anyone else. You are right, I won't race from a dig because my clutch is weak, but I offered to race from a roll and never heard back. That's even giving up my main advantage.

If I happen to run in to Hank one day on an empty road, we'll see what happens. I won't run him from 70 to 160 though ...

I agree. I've said that I won't run from a dig because my clutch can't hold that instant torque ... but it holds fine from a roll.

No one in this thread (aside from Kenny jokingly) has actually asked me to line up and race.

I wasn't trying to single any particular person out, it was a general observation. my clutch can't hold instant torque, rolling torque, NA torque, or anything else for that matter. if I'm swooft this afternoon I might have the transmission most of the way out by dinner time.

eh its not that bad. the volume of stuff that has to come off kinda sucks, but its not particularly difficult. if I'm lazy it could take a day or two.
