Would love to! I've never autocrossed before and my car is mostly stock with some show parts right now. I'm looking to start on power soon, but it would be nice to get a decent baseline before I start adding go-fast pieces.

Quick question guys, my 6speed went out on me, well 4th gear did, I ordered a new stage 2 5 speed from shep trans, its sitting at my house now. Does anyone on here have any experience putting in a transmission? I need help in a bad way would love to get the car going this weekend as its been down a month. I have a 30x60 shop with tools, just need some help. Would rather not drive the car anywhere, but I will if I have to.

"loofee" is your man. He's kind of a master mechanic. Hence why he is busy building a car right now.

I could stare at it real hard until osmosis takes affect and they switch out somehow...

I also got a set of GSC s2's to go in, that should be here soon. I got a guy whos supposed to help me out on the transmission work, and the cams too just dunno how long he's gonna be. I was needing the car back going asap. I'm pretty good with a wrench myself, but not much experience on these cars, as I have a fox body I've built and worked on mostly.

Sound like you have broken diff sir, I believe whats going on is Spider gear took a crap and you now have what's commonly called " the metal croutons" and those broken pieces are lodging the axle shaft and making that popping noise. C

So you're saying a broken rear differential? Guess only one way to find out, take it off... I hope they will take this trans back, the box is unopened.

I should have made this clearer. It's the front diff inside the tcase. Did you see any metal pieces coming out when you drained the fluid for the tranny install?

I never did the install , transmission is still in the box. I will check it though.
