thanks. It did it on the first pull (of two.. I was on and off the dyno in about 15 minutes hahah), I was curious about the numbers but mainly wanted to see the shape and consistency.. it was pretty nice if I dare say so myself. I mighta spent a little time tuning the spool up, but this was going on hour 7 of a marathon volvo tuning day and the two problem children had sapped any desire to spend further time on the dyno
The two volvos did pretty good too.. both have sub-par ignition systems, one put down 311 @ 21psi (8v ported head, 2.3L), and about the same torque. with the 2800 stall he's going to break some serious hearts at the stoplights and the track. in a station wagon hahaha
the other has an intake manifold that I designed on it, he picked up around 2000rpms of spool over the stock intake manifold, and carried the power out to about 7000rpms (crazy flat torque curve from about 38 to 68), his peak power wasn't any better than his previous dyno session (on a different dyno, so I think it is more powerful), but we hit the same numbers at about 5psi less boost. when we turned his up to 20psi, it was geared up to pick up probably 50 more whp but the ignition gave up the ghost almost as soon as the turbo was fully spooled up. his numbers at 20 were 350whp and I think 330 tq. 16v volvo, 2.5L.
