yeah. since the volvo is technically the race car, its going to get more attention. that, and its a lot easier to work on, and faster. Started mocking everything up for the th350 swap last night, this evening will see me taking a few measurements, and then I'll have to get a piece machined to center the snout. after that, its merely working out the details of bolting the converter to the flexplate.

linux.... I feel you on that one. After I get the Evo to that "perfect performance/drivability level" I will looking for a domestic pos to toy with a make a drag car.

03eh VE oh VIII.... Welcome to EVOM. There's is not much to do as far as entertainment here, we MAKE fun. There's a few tracks here with Montgomery Motor Parks in Montgomery being the best in Alabama. Thanks for serving in the Military also.... Marine Vet here.

Demon_ni2.... besides traction, what else do you think were contributing factors to those times; shifting, tire pressure, etc? What were your 1/4 mile times.

get a fox body mustang and put a toyota motor in it or something cool like that. Then you get the ease of chassis modification and aftermarket with the fun of an import. I've considered this several times, but I think I can get the volvo to do what I want it to with a little creativity.

NJ sucks. But its an hour from NY city, 30 minutes from Phili, 30 minutes from Atlantic City, etc.

But as for street racing.. yes. There is A LOT of "under ground" racing groups lol you'll never find a meet unless you know EXACTLY where to look, but drive down 295 After 11 and youll see racing all night lol. Everyone here seems to have money. 17 year olds with Zo6's, or 370Z, etc.

Dude, you must have been following me around town. I was looking at a 1993 5.0 mustang this weeked. I'm trying to talk this ol' fart down on the price as we speak!!! It would easily be a 10 sec twin-turbo'd beast or better with the right work

haha, I'm not a big fan of the american v8's (although the LS motors are quite nice), 5.0's are weak sauce. you start making any kind of decent power and they split in half. is it a hatch or a notch?

Bama is a 1/8th mile track.

It's traction for the most part, he's FWD. Hell,I could barely manage a 1.7 60' out there but my problem is getting into 2nd. my best was a 7.8 @ 96 mph.

edit: evovin, are you still on pumpgas on your low 7 pass?

Yeah, rear-end work, supension upgrade, and some good rubber may solve the handling issue. I have a few few ideas for that weak motor.. I hope, lol. Its a hatch by the way.
Why can't I just find a virgin IS300 or Supra?!?!

Thanks for the reminder of the track info!!! Is the track that bad, I've never had the privilege?
