ok this may sound a little wierd or out of place but i wanna know how many of you have braved the famed "Tail of the Dragon" a.k.a hwy 129 a.k.a Deals Gap. personally ive only been there once and it was a blast!!!! alot of those turns are scary as hell but none-the-less FUN! oh and btw im commin home in july for good and im gonna try and organize an Evo Dragon Run. if possible. i know, im jumping way ahead of myself but thats just how i am, and alot of times i get things done this way lol. but n e ways share ur stories and or hopes or questions about "The Dragon"

 

let me know when you plan on doing this. im moving to quantico, va in december

I have been to the Dragon's Tail many times when I lived in Tn. It is definately a fun road. Great for cruising......but mind your speed. It is heavily monitored. But if you manage to get a chance to "play," think of it as one long autocross. Lol.

 

went in june of this year in the evo, i'd be up for going to an evo meet late summer 09.

wow this seems to have blown up on me SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was scared no one was gonna be down for this. im goin up there in march just for a couple days while i am home for r&r from afghanistan but will be settin things up for a early to mid aug. weekend deal. im tryin to plan it out to where i can do both the dragon and cherohala skyway. friggin badasz turns on both of those roads, the plus side is cherohala is not as patroled as the dragon is soooooooooooooo. and evol_ix, i thought you were sellin ur beast lol. srry bout that kid fallin through on ya sucks i know. but n e ways if im gettin some fail crew guys in on this it must be gettin good rofl. well i will keep checkin back to give more updates when i get them. thanks alot for the interest guys i thought i was alone on the twisties.

sounds like a good deal man. what is YOUR mountain? lol seriously im goin to georigia in march for a couple days just to see an old friend, might be worth lookin into. But seriously though, the more the merrier. i want to do this BIG, maybe even try and get an anual type trip to some maountain run or sumthin goin. ANY input is welcome
