Hello EvoM. There is a possibility I may move from Orange County, CA, to NC -- likely the Charlotte area. Any input? Not just in terms of car stuff, but maybe suggestions for someone potentially making this kind of a move. There's a strong likelihood I would drive across country for the move (as opposed to flying and having the car shipped), unless you guys recommend against it.

I've been to Charlotte before -- I was there for a work convention back in March, and by complete coincidence it was the same weekend as that big St. Patrick's Day bar crawl, so needless to say, I had a pretty good time, and it worked out that I was staying at that Marriott in Uptown, so I was right in the center of the action. Walked around a lot, stopped at EpiCentre, met some locals and ran into a couple who had moved from San Diego to Charlotte. I've never lived in the snow though, so that will be new to me.
