while we are on the topic of oils and filters

just curious to know if there are any correlations between filter choice and synthetic / non-synthetic filters.

i.e. is one brand of filters better for non-synthetic oils?

 

the discount that i can get is for Fram. you can choose extra,tough, or synthetic. you'll save most on synthetic filter

Ken if its for your IIV are you sure its 5W20? It should be a thicker oil like 5W30.

 

**update** i may be getting prices on monday for ROyal Purple Oil Filters

okay i finally got the info for oil filters.. Royal purple oil filters are only sold in the states until further notice. so the fram prices are still in play

HOWEVER... the same vendor is giving us a killer deal on KNN oil filters. singles for our car costs $18/per filter. read up on KNN on their filter quality and design.. much better than fram's

they will sell KNN filters by the case (12 filters in a case). 1 case = 12 bucks a filter. if we get 3 cases its gonna be 11 bucks a filter.

im planning to initiate the purchase by the end of september. get your money ready if you are interested in thise buy

 

Yeah sorry its 5w30 not 5w20. Think i would have this right changing my oil every 3000miles lol.

EDIT: Might wanna check out with this guy. He seems to be offering a good price for the oil and filter... $7.09/quart tax-in and $11 tax-in for the filter...He's local too.

 

thats roughly the same price im getting... i can stick with the mid september group buy but just gathering more interest.....thread of discount maintence stuff is more dead than discount performance stuff..
