That blows. I bought my 09 WW Ralliart as a demo from Brampton Mitsubishi at the end of December and I got the Mastercard. Bought an Accessport with it. Keep hounding them!

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had (or heard of) anyone having problems getting the $1000 prepaid mastercard that was on offer for cars bought at the end of last year.

Even though mine was an ex-demo I was assured it would be treated as a new car sale and that I was eligible for the mastercard deal . 4 months later and I'm now being told by the delear that I wasnt eligible and wont be getting the card.

I've already spoke to the CR dept of mitsu canada who promised to look into it and ring me back. 3 weeks later and nothing. Now every time I ring them I get voicemail and no one returns my call - I cant believe it. I feel like I'm dealing with a back street garage somewhere rather than a multi national company.

Anyone got any ideas as to where I can look for help?

Any comments would be really appreciated

Man, that really does suck. Its amazing how bad the customer service is.

I'm going legal at the moment and also considering contacting the media somehow. I'm from the UK and they have plenty of TV shows/newspaper columns over there that highlight "cowboy" car dealers/mechanics and that sort of stuff. Is there anything similar over here?

I love the car, its awesome, but the customer service from both the dealership and MMC just ruins the whole experience.

I get quite a lot of people commenting on how good the car looks and I'm that p*ssed off with MMC I tell everyone of them not to buy one and how bad the company and dealerships are.

Pickering Mitsubishi Problem (37 days)

In response to the original post, Pickering Mitsubishi is a ripoff,

On May 1st, I was driving through Toronto when a warning on the HUD said to slow down with a temp gauge icon. Before I could get off the HWY I lost all transmission power and came to a stop on the HWY. I had it towed to Pickering Mitsubishi which took them over 2 weeks to diagnose that the transmission gear box was gunky with CVT Fluid, which I had changed at Whitby Mitsu 8 days prior. Sherry I think is the name of the Service Manager, quoted $1500 to over haul the part (clean) or $2800 to replace it, either way it was going to cost $700 to put my transmission back together in order to move it to another shop if I wanted to have someone else to look at it.

I said to clean it, which took 2 more weeks for a $2 part to arrive and be installed. After 4 weeks, they said the car now had electrical problems, which later was explained to be a pinched wire (probably from working on the transmission, 10 days to unpinch) another 10 days and a rental car later, they told me I could come pick it up. Total repairs took from May 1st to June 16, (37 days) and after many phone calls to pickering mitsu and head office, I got the total from $1500+ to 890.00.

I also tried working out a deal with the sales dept there to trade it in as is, within 5 minutes the salesman tried to get me to sign to an agreement, and wouldn't talk to me about anything else but signing the agreement which was very loose on details. I ended up walking out, he tried to stop me and demanded me to sign and tried to stop me from leaving. It was a very bad experience at Pickering Mitsu, the funny thing I was warned about them from a friend at Mid-Toronto Mitsu way before I moved out to the east end. I had no choice of where I had the car towed because they happened to be the near dealership, under warranty, sadly.

Buying from this dealership isn't so bad if you can accept abuse from sales people.

Do not have your car serviced here, go to Whitby, they do decent work...

I've long since stopped going to any dealership for anything. The risk of bad work/service always leaves a bad taste.

i keep hearing these stories about bad service, I bought my car in windsor, and get it serviced in cambridge, I have had no issues what so ever, John at the parts/service department is a pleasure to deal with, he will make sure to get everything fixed, tsb, anyting under warranty, wash the car, lol, I have an evo x and have modded it, they say nothing about the mods and still replace things under warranty, save the headaches, drive the distance and see him, he will take care of you, and if he cannot atleast he will be upfront and let you know exactly what to do do and give you all the options and help you can get.

Pickering mitsus service is one of the worst i would say in the world, no joke.

I bought my car there and will never take it back there for anything if i had to get it towed there i would pay extra to move it somewhere else.. I feel for you man i really do.

Wow, I guess I should count myself lucky in terms of the BS I had to deal with at Erin Mills. Pickering sounds MUCH worse!

No, because the CVT Fluid was found in the valve box which is not covered under warranty. What sucks is that I had it in the dealership days before and got the CVT fluid changed and they didn't look at any of this stuff or gave me warning.

I have a 08 GTS with 125,000 KM, I've had many issues

3 Tows
3 seperate tear tight Wheel Barings replacements (each with alignment)
2 Tie Rod Replacements
A Snapped Timing CHAIN that took out many hoses, wires etc (dixie mitsu service knows my car from this, it's never happened)
and now the transmission issue

I've had thousands of dollars worth of warranty work done, I paid thousands in dealership maintenance and repairs. This is getting tiring.

Wow!

Funny. Mitsubishi Corpor**** ***kkd me so I keep fkkkn them even harder.

A friend of mine asked me how I like my evo. I tell him. "drivers dream owners nightmare" so he went and bought a sonata 2L turbo. His friend wanted a Lancer GT and convinced him to get an elantra :-) with an 8year warranty.

Mitsubishi Canada may have chumped me, Pickering Mitsubishi didn't even put all the parts back in my car after a bogus tranny job that did nothing. But as long as I keep flipping customers to Hyundai, GM, FOrd, whatevs I'm stil winning.

That's 2 more cars Mitsubishi lost out on. Not to mention all the Mitsubishi owners I send to shops other then Mitsubishi.

1) Magnus motorsports - amazing workmanship and skill (west end peeps)
2) Can-Saf racing - super mechanics and great prices (east end peeps)

If I can ever give anyone a piece of advise it would be simply to stay the hell Clear of Mitsubishi dealers. Whether buying or fixing.
