Uncle had a Mitsubishi in the 90's a colt or some shat like that. He told me not to buy the eve because Mitsubishi dealers were junk.

...............14 years later. He is still right.

I failed in listening to good advice. Don't fail and listen :-)

I'd be interested to know how Scooby owners feel about dealer support.

That 2-door concept is surprisingly good looking.

Thanks for the info on Pickering dealership. Bought my Evo X there, and never been serviced. I'll checked out Whitby then.

This is the Be all and End all for these situations..

See Dealerships are overseen by this council called OMVIC...

Every dealer/salesperson/Manager or anyone who sells cars has to pay a fee to become a salesperson and take a college course.

OMVIC Protects your rights as a consumer

OMVIC is the Banhammer of the Law against dealerships

OMVIC Closed down Orangeville Mazda when they scammed the **** outta that lady

If the dealer PROMISED you something and its in writing on your bill of sale and they wont give it to you, You type up a nice letter saying that you were promised such and such items and they were not honored and you would like to settle this BEFORE having to go to OMVIC. OMVIC ALWAYS WINS For you. It`s like playing Counterstrike with Hax and Godmode on...lol

Anyways... www.omvic.on.ca

Check it out. You can put in a Claim. If anyone else has issues with dealers and this sort of thing,Contact Omvic or even Me. I`ve worked for so many crooked Mitsu Dealers that screwed their customers that I cannot stand it, I`ve even got my old dealership sued for crap like this, and all I told the customer was to go to Omvic...They got their car for free instead of facing a Fine.

Good Luck

Unless something has changed between January of this year and now, Mitsubishi is NOT a member of OMVIC.

I was informed of this when I contacted OMVIC for guidance when I was having issues with Erin Mills.

This being the case, I have tried my best to build a rapport with another dealer that does seem to value my business. In the event I need warranty service, they know who I am, and have had work done there.

That's not to say I give them all my business, as I still trust an independent shop far more than any dealer.

I think it's really important to build a relationship with a dealer(s).... as you said it can really help out when you need to be taken care of.

For what it's worth, the GM there has changed since I dealt with them, and it looks like many or all the people listed there are in sales.

My issue was with the former GM, and the incompetent service staff.

lol its okay Im not tryna pick a fight. I just want to let everyone be aware. I worked for Erin Mills Mitsu.... Honestly...I hate them with a passion. All the stuff they`ve done was ridiculous! the GM has changed there 3 times now!!!!

Just be careful about EMM... I have a thread on here about how they treated customers and how they treat their sales people. If you dealt with a sales guy he was only really doing his job, the real problems come from the top.

Ok. Everyone can voice their opinions on dealerships. But the fact is GTA customer satisfaction is not very high. In quebec its a different story.

There is truth to the obvic thing as well. Mitsubishi and one other manufacturer opted out of binding arbitration. It has made things difficult for customers to resolve issues.

Only manufacture defects can bind mitsubishi. Example, an air bag issue or a pedal stuck by floor mats kinda thing.
