Ripped off by Pickering Mitsubishi?
Ripped off by Pickering Mitsubishi?
Hi all,
I'm pretty new to Mitsubishi after having Fords for the past 20 years or so. I'm really impressed by the car and the Forum community, etc but as usual its the stealerships that let the side down.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had (or heard of) anyone having problems getting the $1000 prepaid mastercard that was on offer for cars bought at the end of last year.
Even though mine was an ex-demo I was assured it would be treated as a new car sale and that I was eligible for the mastercard deal . 4 months later and I'm now being told by the delear that I wasnt eligible and wont be getting the card.
I've already spoke to the CR dept of mitsu canada who promised to look into it and ring me back. 3 weeks later and nothing. Now every time I ring them I get voicemail and no one returns my call - I cant believe it. I feel like I'm dealing with a back street garage somewhere rather than a multi national company.
Anyone got any ideas as to where I can look for help?
Any comments would be really appreciated

They ripped me too, I did not want to change plates and it was written on the sheet, but they did it anyway and it took over 2 months to finally get all the financial stuff straightened out.
When was this deal?
I bought mine in november

good luck with Mitsubishi head office and their mickey mouse business. I have called numerous times in the past and got empty promises or just plain bs when it came to problems I was having with my car or dealership. They promise you the world and treat you like a long time customer till you make the mistake of putting your signature on that purchase agreement...so I wish you the best of luck trying to get what you deserve.

Unfortunately it was just verbal. I can't see anywhere on the contract that they could include the offer anyway. I do, however, have copies of the emails from their finance manager saying things like "we've been billed for your card, so it should be here in a week".
I'm hand delivering a letter to them today as a last ditch attempt to get some sort of resolution. We'll see I suppose. Fed up of the

Thanks to everyone for replying. Really do appreciate it.

So I hand delivered a letter detailing everything to the dealership. Waited 2 weeks - no response at all.
Then posted (via recorded delivery) the same letter with a cover letter explaining that I was being ignored by the dealership, to Mitsu Canada.
1 week and no response or anything either. Not even an acknowledgement.
Any advice about the next stage up - would it be Mitsu North America or Mitsu Japan?
Again, any help appreciated.
