It's got nothing to do with the gas we use. I use shell's winter blend blah blah and it still happens.

I use regular. And the gas stations are all random since I buy what ever is most convenient. Usually Esso and Mac's.

Well if it isnt linked to ethanol, than it is ignition related or something beyond the info I have from Japan.

Maybe the new relays will work for you. They did not for me.

Winter gas I wouldn't use really..if you guys aren't using 91 oct then you face problems lol

Another thing to check is timing chain seems alot of people have issues and this seems to be a huge cause of it. Someone even posted he drove home fine turned car off, started it the next day and that's when the chain messed up.

Check relays, and use good fuel not cheap *** watered down stuff.

Fully stock? Take to the dealer have them fix for you. If you got boltons then get a good tune up

my lancer is stock and it happens not only in winter but all year round. And no octane has nothing to do with it.

I had occasional starting problems until I switched to an Optima Red Top 35 battery. I always use 94 octane, so the grade of gas isn't a factor and I frequent the same couple of stations exclusively.

Since I don't drive my car that often, I do a 2amp trickle every couple of weeks to keep it topped up. So far that has solved the issue for me.

I might try this because I've been experimenting as well. I have read if you lay off the fog lights it usually does not happen. So I've stopped using my fog lights for an entire month and I haven't had this issue yet this is unfortunate because I love using my fog lights on my evo x.

Maybe it has to do with our battery output.

You might be onto something with the fogs, as I have the JDP fog delete kit so no drain there.

I turn off all ac controls, radio lights etc when i park and let idle. I'm back using the stock panasonic battery as my fp red destroyed the odyssey pc680 I had in it. Cranking amps with stock battery is 10x better. And I let it sit for a full year lol

Guys who are having this issue, Dont use the fog lights. I'd like to know if this may work for others.

I turned on my fogs on my sport back and I got the no start the day after. My evo on the other hand is still going good for a month. I really hope it's the fog lights that is the issue.

Anyone without fog lights, are you guys having issues as well?
