2008+ lancers/Ralliarts/EvoX problem starting?

I've gotten this problem since the day I purchased my car, obviously brought the car to the dealer ship but they can't figure it out. I've read on many pages that they can simply go into the dealer and get their cars ECU reflashed but my dealership won't do it!

Heres my problem - every 9 or 10 starts the starter just keeps going and going. I pull out the key and then wait 15 seconds and try again and it work. WTF... Pretty much every day I start the car is a little game - if its going to start or not... I stalled my car on a stop sign and it took 3 tries to start it. How embarrassing...

Can someone PLEASE HELP! i need the TSB number

EDIT APRIL 1st

I FOUND IT!!!!!! https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=...ZGQzMWVi&hl=en

I have the same problem. It doesn't happen alot... seems to happen at random. Basically you go to start the car... and it just cranks. I typically just keep cranking like a stubborn mule and it will start.

Something I've done... and I don't seem to have trouble starting when this happens is... I turn the key to "ON" and then wait for the "click-click-click"... and then start the car. I can't remember having a hard start after I did that. I don't know if base Lancers do that "click-click-click".

I've read different things regarding this. I've heard the car requires a reflash because the original ECU software doesn't always open the throttle enough when trying to start the car. The second TSB I saw had something to do with replacing relays. I haven't really looked into it because it doesn't happen that often... but I guess I should get it resolved.

Mine does this occasionally, but I have noticed it is just when it is very humid with high condensation. I just figured its a quirk. Meh.

crester i always wait for the click click click. It happened last week. After it started, it was a rather weak start, but it was good after that

There's got to be more people with this issue! A lot of guys in the states are.

I don't know what to do. I've called the dealerships and they even deny the tsb number I gave them

I have the same issue, the past month more than any other time. It's really embrassing when you're in a parking lot and you're 3 year old car has trouble starting and a 1985 honda accord has no trouble.

I thought of taking it to a dealership but I figured they wouldn't do ****.

I hate this with my Ralliart - even when about a month old. Haven't experienced it with my GSR. Could this be an A/T only issue? Anyone have a M/T and this problem?

this is in regards to ALL 2008+ lancers/ralliarts/evox

I called in another dealership and they are aware of this issue, but they do not have a canadian TSB

Change your relays guys

It has happened with my Evo 5 times. The work around is always have 1/4 tank and alwAys let 3 clicks go and turn key. Hasn't happened to me since

How many km on cars? Mine stopped after first 5-10k

I never changed mine. I'm hoping they burn out n motor goes to be honest as it's been recorded at dealer my problem n the fact they will also not touch mine say it's fine.

Ull have to look on forums which ones need changing or just hope your problem goes away like mine has
