Wait 1 more week. Motor City Mitsubishi is offering DBA and Stop Tech Brake upgrades as a labour and parts bundle. So it will be even better than the prices.

I was in there today they said nothing to me!!

Yea I installed them w/ SS lines and new fluid. I'd want to upgrade my rotors first, then give them a fair review, but till now I really can't tell a sig. difference other than more consistent braking, and also a lot less squeal.

Well... upgrading rotors adds another variable to the mix. If its as good as stock, but for much less who can complain?

That's funny, I had a service B carried out for my lancer sportback GTS at markham mitsubishi and they said I had 80% left for front brakes (Hawk HPS) and 60% left for my rear brakes (Satisfied Gransport GS6 pads).

But I really wonder since I changed to the new brakes around 6000km and I took it in for service at 13,000km. I have done spirited street driving, but have never did squealing stops or burning rubber or tracked the car.

They tell me the rear brake pads wear more because it has more slack to cover with smaller brake area compared to the front.

Do the regular Lancers use the brakes to help the car turn as well?

Oh and I would eventually start a thread for this... but for the EVO guys... do you notice any changes in your braking performance if it's really cold and wet outside (rain or snow)?

When it's cold you have to brake deeper...i guess the brake fluid just needs to warm up a bit.

^Yes, in the winter, esp if the car is parked outside, for the first 2-3 press's, the brakes dont really work lol....so You really need to pump some life into the brakes.

I switched around 25-30K dont remember. F had 40% left, R had 60% left, still have them if any1 wants. I suggest you dont waste $ though.
I would try PMU pads.

If you're going to try PMU, I'd suggest the Endless MX72 - a little bit more pricey, but I've heard good things...
