For those looking at brake pads... De Engineer (Peak Performance) has Stoptech Pads for under $200... for the ENTIRE CAR! I just picked up a set from him... it's even cheaper than going to the States.

And don't worry about the low price... these pads are good.

Pads are the best and fastest selling pads at all the shops. They are already pre scorched, so there is very little to screw up and they are dead quiet

I'd like to know as well. I'd like to pick up a set ahead of time just for when I need to change mine.

My brakes are squealing like a pig. I recently bought my lancer gts and the squealing just won't go away. I want to get new rotors and pads but I want them to be great. Can anyone tell me where I can get some

The best pad in my opinion would be Stop-Tech

Their manufacturing process and proprietary blend makes them not squeal and very little product deviation. In other words, you shouldnt get a pad that is squealing period. Their Posi Quiet and very effective.

Second they have a wide enough range of pads to satisfy your needs. Most importantly they are very well priced. I work for a company that deals with a lot of brands. And by far with all the product samples I have used, STOP TECH is on the short list every time for every category. The only thing StopTech doesnt dominate is the extreme friction category. Their pads are great for street and track. But for that competition only option you may want to branch out and look around. A local favorite would be Hawk HP+ but some would argue their are better options. Doesnt hurt to try and see what operating friction level you like.

If your a Lancer guy and you are not going to track your car. I will brake it down to you like this

104 series- Semi Metal - good stopping power and will not generate much dust
105 series- Ceramic - good balance of stopping power, low dust, but may slightly wear your rotor more than Semi Metal
106 series - Extended wear - trade off is giving up a little bit of stopping power for a pad that is VERY Rotor wear friendly and a extremely good long pad life. For the money and value this may be a great option for a daily driver that doesnt see the track.
309 series - a great balance for street and track - It's something you can beat on a fun day at the track and drive home with the same pad. It is agressive and may lower your rotors overall life span - I wouldnt recommend this pad for OE rotors if you beat on it. OE life vs. a higher grade rotor which will be fine.

You can find stoptech anywhere online and even local stores, but if you still can't find one let me know.

Wait 1 more week. Motor City Mitsubishi is offering DBA and Stop Tech Brake upgrades as a labour and parts bundle. So it will be even better than the prices.

Do that, then go to the other site EvoX Forums, and lookup the how-to i wrote 2+ years ago.

USE AND ENJOY
