Oil capacity

ok this is a noob question. i changed the oil myself. i put more than 4L but it doesnt reach the full mark on the dip stick.

when i get a change oil on the dealer, the oil is above the full mark.
I thought we only need 4L/4.2qts of oil.

how much do you guys put?

Read your owner's manual, all fluid capacities are in there.

I'm curious... do you give the oil a chance to get to the oil pan? Or do you just dump everything in and read the dipstick like 1 second later?

i checked the manual, it doesnt say the exact amount. it just shows the "good" level on the dip stick.

i came back after one hour and checked the dip stick and its just above the first hole. so that means 4L is not enough.
