couldn't you just bring it to a tranny shop and get it rebuilt with stronger/reinforced parts?

Here's the thread on that guys T-case.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...hlight=Teamrip

He didn't want to spend his money on a new ring & pinion so he decided to see if he could have it covered under warranty.

We suggested that he take it back to the shop that worked on it last and ask them if they used a GL-5 oil in the T-case. We even discounted the price because we felt sorry for him.

Anyway, I told everyone involved that his T-case was is bad shape and needing replacement. The only thing I could do was set the ring & pinion up again so they could drive it to the dealership.

In no way did I claim it was fixed so this BS post is BS....just for your information.

IS it possible to change the Final gear ratio through the TC? Why not Get the Evo down to a 3.73 final ratio. That would be awesome, taller gears for a modded motor to pull on. Damn near 60 MPH in the 1st gear, well lets see I think guys with 400WHP would love this mod, 3rd gear would be EXTRA killer......

1st Gear Ratio: 2.928:1
2nd Gear Ratio: 2.928:1
3rd Gear Ratio: 1.407:1
4th Gear Ratio: 1.031:1
5th Gear Ratio: 0.720:1

and the Final Ratio is 4.529:1

Immagine even if it was a 4.10

So second gear wouldn't really help much, huh?

stop drag racing the car and use it for what its ment for...then you won't need a new TC.
