I am in no way implying that Marks tune was wrong. It is badass and he knows his ****. Thanks for making so much power with my car bro.
Well, last night my motor blew up. I just got tuned in Dallas not to long ago. I need some help trying to figure out what made it happen.
I have a 3076 with alky kit, with supporting mods.
Now whats weird is that everything seemed mechanically fine. Like alky was spraying. And it seemed as if it was to rich. I filled my alky before I left the house. And the first time I got on it it blew at about 6k in 3rd gear. I check my alky level and it had aready used a lot of alky. More than I would think that it would use. Can being too rich make a car knock and break a rod?
My second piston came up and hit my spark plug and broke it off. Im going to pull the head tonight. Is there anything in particuler that I need to look for?

I remember the car .. utec car.. 28psi with alky. October 15th . .. Sounds very odd that you would use 1/2 the tank of alky before you hit it. Are you sure it sprayed ? sounds to me like it didnt. The utec is setup with knock retard and was tuned on the rich side. Seems odd that it was fine for a month and now this. Are you sure you dont have a leak prior to the inlet ? The alky should last you while .. it only sprays after 7psi .. something doesnt add up

Well tore it apart last night. 2nd cylinder popped. Scored the block a little, rashed out all 4 valves on that cylinder. Had chunks of metal on top of the other 3 pistons from the blown one.
I think the metal might have been holding the valves open. I did a compression check before and it was 60-100-60-30. 100 being the blown piston. WEIRD.
I need to check my turbo since all the metal that went out my exhaust went through the turbo.
I checked the alky and it wasnt spraying. I need to check for leaks. I have a 3bar map sensor wired into it, so I disconnected the vac line and stuck my air gun in it to push 25 psi. The pump turns on and is pumping but there is no alky coming out of it. The level wasnt going down so its almost like the pump is air locked. But I have never ran it dry. I always top my alky off about half way down the resivoir.
Today I got to pull strip my head to take it to a machine shop to check the valves.
And I guess 2.3 stroker here I come.

Did yuou test spray it before you got on it?
Did you see your af ratio change when you did the test?
This is what you have to do with Alky, keep a close eye on the system to monitor.

Well the light was on saying it was spraying. Everything looked like normal.
Now that I tested it. Found out that the pump is running like its spraying but the alky isnt getting to the jet thats on my ic piping. But I cant find a leak anywhere either.

I always press the purge button like Sean said before i get on it to make sure it is working and my AFRS drop. Did you clean the reservoir after drilling the whole for the low level led. maybe the line is clogged somehow. Check the lines going from the pump to the filter and to the nozzle.
The 2 cars i have seen were that they ran out of meth and stayed on the throthle. Both of them on a nevo8 and an eclipse GSX.
