I know this is your post, but I have been up to Dallas for a TT tune, and it would be more benificial if we could do this in Houston. It seems that there are more Houston people who want the tune in Houston.....

1. sgplancer
2. jigglyp83
3. EvoBig16G
4. PhoenixEvo
5. cass1115
6. mistsuorder (????)

compared to the Dallas people....

Do you think that the Dallas people would be up for a trip to Houston???? If so, we would have 9 people which is one more than we would need for the minimum for Mark/Mike to come down here. And everyone knows that Houston parties harder than Dallas .

As for the organizing of the event, I can give sgp a call to see whats up with using their dynapak dyno, or maybe mitsuorder can get in and call the DD dyno shop. What do you think?

it doesn't matter to me where it is. i have never been to houston before, so i would be up for a road trip. but obviously it would be nice if it were here in dallas.

Yeah man Im up for Houston as well , place does not matter to me because im driving from Shreveport, LA anyways.

Mark, as for a date I know most of us were hoping it could be in late January. I for one am currently depolyed overseas and wont be back in the states until around New Years. Then I have to put all the mods on my car that I have ordered over the past 3 months .

I know SGP has a dyna pack dyno but is that what we really want to use? I know they work great but doesent it take some time to actually take the wheels off the car and get everything attached to the hubs? We are going to be on a time clock here and I think it would be easier to strap a car down rather than jack up a car and take the wheels off. I could be wrong though maybe it takes little to no time to get the car setup for a dynapack dyno. If anyone is interested I know that turbochargers.com has a AWD dynojet dyno and there may even be a mustang dyno around Houston.

The ONLY reason I would recommend Houton would be due to the fact that there is now a DynoDynamics dyno located there.

yep, EngineLogics just installed a brand spanking new DynoDynamics Dyno here in Houston. They are very Evo friendly and would gladly host our dyno tuning session at a discounted rate.

I'll make the drive to Houston if someone in Houston can schedule the DynoDynamics Dyno. Can we set the date for Sat, Feb 18?

My car will be disassembled the end of Jan and, like some other folks, I have a lot of stuff to buy and get installed before Mark's tune. Here's the current Houston list from reading back through the posts. If I missed someone, feel free to jump in. Folks should also probably indicate what kind of tune they need to help Mark in the scheduling (ECU flash, UTEC, AEM, etc.)

1. sgplancer
2. jigglyp83
3. EvoBig16G
4. PhoenixEvo
5. cass1115
6. use2vtec
7. KevinD (ECU reflash)
8. Evo8RA (UTEC- 93 octane & race gas programs)

Mark

If noone post any info up on here about the DD dyno at EngineLogics then I will send them a e-mail first thing next week. I have very limited access to telephones here overseas but I will do what I can from the computer.

I did however find out some of their dyno rates. Im sure the group rate will be cheaper but this is what I have for normal pricing:
  • 3 pulls for $75.00
  • First Hour is $100.00 and each additional hour will be $80.00/hour
Keep in mind that these rates are not group rates. Im sure the group rates will be discounted more than that. These are the rates from EngineLogics with their DD dyno.

Im very open to the date and Feb 18th is fine with me, I hope it works out for everyone else as well. I know its 2 months away but it will give us plenty of time to get everything organized.

Also here is the list updated with what I want done:
1. sgplancer
2. jigglyp83
3. EvoBig16G
4. PhoenixEvo
5. cass1115
6. use2vtec (ECU reflash for Alky)
7. KevinD (ECU reflash)
8. Evo8RA (UTEC- 93 octane & race gas programs)
