Honestly I think we have enough interested in both cities to have two separte tuning days, one in dallas and one in houston.

Well, I would really prefer Houston also. Mark, I just got my 2006 IX MR and am trying to find a compatible TBE for it. I don't know if you remember me, you tuned my 2004 RS with the White Rabbit in San Antonio.

Houston would be great, and the end of January/early February would work fine by me. Congrats on the IX tune you did in PR, if that's what I can expect, I'm pretty stoked. You guys can count me in on this also......

I don't understand why you Dallas guys complain so much about driving to Houston...
Houston has yet to have a tuning day, and there are more people interested who
live in or around the Houston area. We've made the 4 hour drive before, and now you guys can come and enjoy the largest and fastest city in the state of Texas .

I spoke first with Dan and later with Chris at EngineLogics this afternoon. Chris will get with Dan, who actually works the dyno side of their business, and let me know what kind of deal they can work for us for Feb 18.

In my conversation with them, they commented quite a bit about the "peak and hold" characteristics of the Dyno Dynamics dyno and how much better it was then the Wide Open Throttle (WOT) dynos like Mustangs and Dyno Jets. He was saying that the DD dyno lets you tune at specific RPMs and for the way cars are driven on the street, not just WOT. Mark would have to say how important this is for his tuning.

Tony.. .

of course i remember you .. The IX is awesome to say the least. .you'll be more then happy after the tune.

As far as the dyno .. like i said i've never used that dyno before.. Im used to mustang / dynojets .. i wont tune on a dynopack .. only because of the time it takes to load ..

I'll do what you guys want .. just no dynopack ...

I sent Dan a e-mail yesterday at EngineLogics and he said to rent the dyno for the day it would be $1400.00 for a 10 hour day. When I did the math if they charge $100.00 for the first hour and $80.00 each additional hour that comes out to ge $820.00 for a 10 hour day.

I wrote him yet again trying to figure it all out. They seem like a nice group of people so im sure we will be able to wrok something out. Ill post up as soon as I get a e-mail back from Dan.

I spoke with Chris/Dan and they have corrected the website so it is consistent. A 10-hour day is $1400, which would be $140 per person for the 10 people who have currently said they are interested. This includes all of the wideband setup on each car.

1. sgplancer
2. jigglyp83
3. EvoBig16G
4. PhoenixEvo
5. cass1115
6. use2vtec (ECU reflash for Alky)
7. KevinD (ECU reflash)
8. tcarretti
9. mr_one (power fc)
10. evopower1021

I still have some part decisions to make, so I'm stepping out for this round. For comparison purposes, I spoke with Alamo in Arlington yesterday and they charge $60 per person for their dynojet and would welcome Mark's return, since he was just there a couple of months ago tuning Evos.

$140 per person is a little steep, don't you think? Most dyno tuning days usually fall between the $80-$100 per person area........

Anyone else think that this is a little high?

That's double what we have paid the last 3 times I have been dyno tuned by Mark. Usually it was $60 at FIS...don't remember what it was at Alamo but it wasn't much more.
