cams are 899 for the 272/280 set, which include intake and exhaust. cam installation is 250. i know iam getting ready to get them and have tt install and then tune

how would these 280's affect daily driving? dont they kill low end torqe?

Have you guys determined whether any other head mod's are needed, besides head studs i'd assume?

And any dyno #s on the 272's yet?

With the MIVEC I don't think it is going to kill low-end torque. He's runnin' 350 ft lbs by 3500 rpms. That ain't too shabby.

isnt the average price of evo 8 cams like 500 bucks a set? Why are these almost twice as much?

Because they're not mass-produced, they're Turbo Trix semi-custom. Also, no one else makes cams for the IX.

well i just just installed a pair of 280's last night in my evo ix with head studs and mmmm wow the car barely sounds like it has cams, the idle is very close to stock (havent tried the AC on yet) and there is very little bottom end loss, if anyting its not noticable because the power up top just wow is all i ahve to say and this is all raw mechanical power no tuning (not yet at least)

i can't wait to install my cams tt280 along with headstuds,walbro,hallman. hopefully mark can fit me in so i can get a tune aswell
