I guess the first PM I sent regarding the issue with my IX cams wasn't read, so I resent it again.

Thanks

why have you guys only answered one question? I'm looking to find out why so far keith IX is the only one that has made this kind of power with your 280 cams for the IX. Everyone else who has had these cams installed have not come close to these dyno numbers. I'm Not bashing you guys, Just would like answers before shelling out $900 for cams only proven in a TT employee car. thanks

i believe keith told me, when I was there last week , that he was running around 26psi. this however may not be what he dyno'd with.

My car has the 280/280 combo. No matter what cam combo they put in it the car has always had a stock idle. It never has been lumpy. Mark has tried some different things on my car and I have put 10,000miles on it without any issues. On the dyno the boost was spiking to 26psi and falling off to 21 psi by redline. I have been driving the car around like this for almost 9,000 miles and the car runs just a good as it did when we pulled it off the dyno.

Remember, don't just look at the peak number. You need to look at the area under the curve. You might only pick up 10whp peak when doing certain mods, but gain 20whp or 30whp down low. You need to look at the entire graph, not just what the car made for peak power.

So was this done on pump or race gas?

I guess I should've worded it better as pump gas can be a vague term ranging from 91 octane all the way up to 110 octane found on pumps.

Not talking ****, but seems like all the gains that was made on the car was merely from the increase of boost of 26lbs.

So are you saying that every EVO IX on 93 octane pump gas makes 374hp when they turn there boost up to 26psi?

I've never heard of anyone calling anything but 91 or 93 pump gas. Anything else is considered race gas. I think most people are smarter than that and know the diff. Just my .02

If a Regular Evo can make 350 Dynojet WHP with cams, immagine what a IX could do.

Of course this could all be ended with a Simple 1/4 mile run and record the trap speed which should be atleast 118MPH.

I wouldn't know because I haven't seen any other Evo IX boosting that much on 93 octane to begin with, but I have seen those power levels on race gas boosting 25-26lbs. Seems like only this car had decent power from the cams merely from the raised boost unlike other customer's cars with the set of cams.

You would be surprised then. Some people mention they are running on pump gas in which they use 110 octane since it can be found on the pumps. I just wanted some clarification.
