That's just nonsense to me. A part either works or it doesn't. Don't go around calling others junk because you want to be a nutswinger.....and no this obviously isn't directed at you mike. My opinion is just based off a collaboration of posts from all who Deem Buschur as the GOD of the Evo world. You can support any parts you want with calling others junk.
Buschur May not be a god but can you name 1 single other indivdual as much involved in testing parts and providing info to the community?? If you take the owners of all the big name shops see if you can name just 1 who contributes as much to the forums and community as he does.. This is my thread so i guess its ok to go off topic.. LOL

Again I can't argue your point. He does provide more than anyone. From a business standpoint you are correct. Why sell a part you don't believe in? Maybe it's all the nutswingers that get on my nerves. I've been torn about even doing a fully built buschur motor. I just can't get the image of Al Dynoflash saying"Master Buschur" and vwjeff claiming "buschur is god" out of my mind. I guess I shouldn't let the idiots persuade my choice in parts..... Mike, I apologize for jacking your thread and I'll try to keep opinions of others away from your thread. Good Luck with your attempts at record breaking. Even if you manage to match Sheppard's E.T. in his DSM the Evo community will want more.

So, screw those guys lol

Get a buschur build because its what you believe is the best for your needs. Talk to the owners of the shops, don't rely and base all of your decisions off of the customers.

I could of swore there was a thread a few months ago about this. It was comparing the EPM vs. the JMF dump. Shearer came in and was in favor of the JMF just b.c of the straight through 2.5'' design over a 3". I can't seem to find the thread maybe I'm wrong or just dreaming this lol.

edit: found it https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...b-o2-dump.html

The JM Fab piece uses a 2.5" tube straight through. While not as big of a diameter it has one continuous diameter and no abrupt transitions. This makes more sense to me and is how I would build them.

There is nothing unique about 3" on 3" CLR tube. We've been using them for years on our exhaust pieces.

Basically, is he saying that he likes the straight through design no matter if it's 3" vs. 2.5"? Or is he saying he likes the 2.5'' design over the 3" design?

Ron was saying that he liked the 2.5" design better.. I also stand corrected that the shearer Dump is 2.5".. FOr some reason i had in my head we were going to do a 3" but ron advised against it.. He built them in 2.5" and thats what we tested and worked as shown ont he dyno chart in the OP..

Well Mike in all fairness. Reading that thread on the JMFab 02, it kind of proved the point I failed to make. You were in there swearing by the EPM Dump and now you're in here swearing by the Shearer dump which is designed like the JMFab but you just spouted out that it WAS PROVEN!!! I think it's fair to say that they would have the same gains. Ok, I'm done jacking the thread.

I see you still wanna cause drama so ill explain..

We were swearing by EPM because did several back ot back tests and picked up 15hp+.. we had cars stuck running 11.1 then did the dump and dipped into the 10's.. The reason we dont swear by them now is they arent making them anymore.. I contacted shearer to make the dumps because we needed a dump solution and hes the best fab guy we know.. My main concern was fitment.. we knew they made power.. the EPM dumps didnt fit well.. Now we have a dump that fits and makes power so YES i can now SWEAR by it and stand behind it because i know it will fit..

I'm dynoing the difference from a 2.5" to 3" on the 14th. I guess you'll just have to wait.

Ernie,
Is the 3" o2 housing a "replacement" for the stock o2 housing?

Shearer,

This 02 housing is going on my car and I believe I can answer this for Ernie. It is a 3" 02 housing with a 2" external dump tube. It is not a direct replacement because we did away with the stock 2.5" donut flange that connects the downpipe and the 02 housing with a true 3" vband. So the Downpipe has to be customized with a 3" vband fitting so it will fit the 3" 02 housing. If you have any questions let Ernie or I know. Thanks and nice product by the way. We ordered the JMF Flange too. I'll have pictures up by next weekend of the 02 housing.

Price

$475.00 seems a little high priced... Other than the price it looks nice.

Looking forward to the pics Mikey... I had a dump for a day and seriously couldn't stand the racket it made... so we chopped it and made it into a recirc!
